Some of you might find this interesting. TV Ontario did a week of programming on the brain-mind called "Mysteries of the Mind Week". Some of which was hosted by Norman Doidge author of "The Brain That Changes Itself" and "The Volitional Brain".
You will probably find the philosophical value of this programming to be negligent or amatuer, but there is plenty of discussion of brain dynamics by neuroscientists.

Mysteries of the Mind week
Re: Mysteries of the Mind week
FYI, you might be able to watch the videos on the episode pages, but not sure if it works outside of Canada.
Re: Mysteries of the Mind week
Standing on the frozen edge of creation whilst casting an awareness towards God, or if you will/wish, what has in some fashion been wrought, is an awesome thing.
Gazing towards the Northern abyss; incredulous of life beyond the Southern shore of Lake Superior, and coming to the stark realization that a whole race of Being have come to exist within the frozen world still yet beyond a world of ice and snow. A land that despite its beauty is demanding enough towards cruelty that the weak do perish.
Yet still, they make it home.
This is a tremendous revelation.
A life that is respected and received with the grace available to man.
Hockey is cool.
God save the Queen.
