Philosophy

Post by leninsungtruth »

I have come to think a lot on the subject of philosophy this summer and have found one I agree with. I believe that a simpler existence is better and will regect technology after I graduate from high school. I am sick of wars, ego, violence, taking advantage of others and so on. I believe in the brutish existence of man and survival of the fittest and will join an amish farm and live out the rest of my days there. Your thoughts?

Technology is only a problem because it is used by irrational people for irrational ends. The real problem is that people have no wisdom, so they don't see the larger picture.

Do the amish accept converts from the general public? I don't think so.

Most Old Order and conservative Amish groups do not proselytize, and conversion to the Amish faith is rare but not unheard of. The Beachy Amish, on the other hand, do pursue missionary work.
