I can thank Dan for this thought.
"An atheist is a person who knows what God is" (if I got that right)
It seems to me that the atheism of most is narrowly anthropomorphic.

I do not mean this as a way to pet your ego but as a correlation between a common thread of thought.DavidQuinn000 wrote:That's right, yes. It means pulling apart all gods, all forms, all objects, all selves and realizing their empty nature. The enlightened person is someone who no longer worships anything at all, not even tacitly. He is pure Truth.

I appreciate your humility and deep desire for truth.
This quote is hitting the nail on the head - however I do not know what you mean buy "worship" as I could say I worship or hold to be sacred 'life and truth'.

Not bad for a clueless Christian ;)As long as the soul keeps running about everywhere copulating with whomever she meets and defiling herself, she exists suffering her just deserts. But when she perceives the straits she is in and weeps before the father and repents, then the father will have mercy on her and he will make her womb turn from the external domain and will turn it again inward, so that the soul will regain her proper character.
So when the womb of the soul, by the will of the father, turns itself inward, it is baptized and is immediately cleansed of the external pollution which was pressed upon it, just as garments, when dirty, are put into the water and turned about until their dirt is removed and they become clean. And so the cleansing of the soul is to regain the newness of her former nature and to turn herself back again. That is her baptism.

Worshipping truth is certainly better than worshiping anything else in this world. However, even this must be relinquished eventually, after everything else has been relinquished. To the degree that you are still worshiping truth (and life), you are not enlightened. This quote is hitting the nail on the head - however I do not know what you mean buy "worship" as I could say I worship or hold to be sacred 'life and truth'.
Here is a marvel to behold:
What freedom!Diogenes was asked, "What is the difference between life and death?
"No difference."
"Well then, why do you remain in this life?"
"Because there is no difference."
By "worship", I mean, fundamentally, emotional attachment.

the wings of the same bird...
since light, darkness, bla, bla...by their very whatever
allow these eyes to see in perspective, depth...
perhaps god and atheism are in fact the wings of the
same canary. You can't have one without the other?
I would however, add one qualification here: god=darkness
(eg g bush) atheism=light. Perhaps Nietzsche was right:
we've killed god, but still like her his poisons....dahhh....
time for another psytrance track.......balojax,
by deviant species...see ya I'm off to find myself and get lost.....
writen by lightening for your edification
