In the latter case, “faith” is the regular, run-of-the-mill interpretation of the word; that is, blind faith. In the former, the man of “faith” sees very clearly to the total absence of temptation: transcending the “ethical” (the blind faith of the Biblically moral kind).
Way off.

The "moral" person, who abides by "thou shalt not kill", has blind faith in the word of the Bible - but he is not a man of faith. He is not a "single individual" - not fully conscious. Such a man is part of the unconscious, merged void. For example, he is a married man. A true man of faith is not concerned about conventional morality, what other people think, or what it says in the Bible. The single individual is not concerned about what is universally held to be true and right.
Kierkegaard: But faith’s paradox is precisely this, that the single individual is higher than the universal, that the individual determines his relationship to the universal through his relation to the Absolute (i.e. God), not his relation to the Absolute through his relation to the universal.
The single individual determines how he acts in the world through his relationship to the Absolute - his relationship to Truth - rather than having his Truth determined by the world, or by mere books like the Bible.
