imbecil,
Since it is a serious thread, let me throw my two cents in. I do appreciate where you are at, psychologically. I've been there, too. Arguments regarding antidepressant drugs and re-creational drugs aside, I can think of two things that have especially helped me.
It is really important to ask oneself "why?" Why am I feeling this way? And to ask it over and over, not as a mantra but as a means of descending deep within oneself to divine the true causes of the condition. From this type of self-knowledge can one guide oneself out, through continuous self-counseling and through self-guidance to find appropriate for you healers and healing modalities.
The other super important thing, I found, was to learn to put one foot in front of the other, that is, to be willing to take one step at a time -- and it will sometimes be a really small step -- the point being to avoid getting bogged down in the enormity of the present situation and the seemingly long way to go.
Again, two cents only. As others have said, we are not professionals and a message forum is probably not the best place to seek help for such a condition.

Since we are all being so blunt with conditions of humanity we cannot hope to control at this point half of you could be full of something.
Pollution alone unless solved by higher technology makes the quality of life justifiably shit and only those who can get access to DEEPLY advanced levels of environmental, logistic, medical, and transportational technology stand a chance of going where they need to go so to speak.
Do almost everything right and another wave of shit hits your body from a different wind current at this point on earth.
Now start with nothing among 6-10 billion and guess what you are smothered with no hope or control welcome to modern reality.

What does it mean to "amount to something"? Maybe you can find something of worth in this: Social Commandment No. 13: Thou Shalt Not Avoid Problems Or Responsibilitiesimbecil wrote:Sometimes I just want to pick up a history book and begin to read, but I think to myself, what's the point? You don't know anything about it anyway. What about math? Science? Don't you care about those? Are you sure you should start with history? Maybe it's a waste of your time. You're so far behind, you should just kill yourself. You will never amount to anything.

I'm still waiting on whether or not Alex Jacob is related to Alex Jacobsen. I can't believe I missed that, but now I can't get it out of my mind.
Laputan machine. (ooh wait, is that a faux pas in a conversation about suicide?)

It's not very glamorous, but here you go, Trevor. Yes, it was and is pretty much about counting cards. I feel I've been leading you all on for a long time and it's time to come clean...

I'd challenge you, but I learned everything I know from Bill Fillmaff's Secret System.
