Would be well and fine if you weren't asserting meanings "housed" without realizing.

Russell wrote:Both.. again, all things are illusory, including consciousness and its perceived boundaries. Anything defined/taken/carved in the Infinite is ultimately illusory, as you alluded to with your example of the infinite money split 5 ways. Dividing the Infinite into finites can't be done in any ultimately meaningful way, so anytime it appears to have been done, rest assured it is just a mirage of Nature.
If "the totality" is meaningful ,then it has to be a concept otherwise it would not be related to its meaning. That means consciousness is more real than the totality.

a welcome mat goes on the front porch.

always/ already thinking 'house'.

your drift in posting is along the lines of:

sensorium = house

gotta get outa the house, where's the exit.
I'll just sit in the chair all day and close my eyes.
rescue remedy.

Talking about a forum, not a 'seat' from which consciousness arises.

Don't need to get anywhere, and the house your imagining which gets on the bus doesn't exist. You're handing over 'too much existence' to appearances, that's the belief which leads people to spend their lives working, worrying, hastening, as if there is really anything to gain or lose, achieve or learn.

You are yet to provide a single sentence as to what the experience 'existence' is dependent on. The closest you've come is mentioning it is always a reflection/representation without hinting as to how you came about this idea or if the 'senses perceive' via body or whatever else.

Talking about a forum
yeah, I know, a welcome mat out the front with 'house' implied.
the always/already thinking of being in something.
embodied
embedded
enactive,
affective
extended

house of god
heaven and hell as house or real estate.

what does 'dwell in the infinite' look like?

Meaning making is only possible within the realm of consciousness. Since the Totality encompasses consciousness, it is beyond meaning.

Interesting point which I can see the truth to, yet that only shows a general tendency toward immersion.

A question, new.
Because it is so general, the best I can say is it looks like a stepped-back perspective. Unfocused (unattached to particulars or identity)

Beyond meaning is just a fancy way of saying its meaningless.
Why cant objective reality be also beyond meaning?
It encompasses consciousness too doesnt it?

You're always/already dwelling in the infinite Sir.

The universe is not a thing.

It exists surely but not in its own essence.
lacks inherent existence.

It's also more accurate in the context of my statement. The Infinite is transcendent of our own meaning making.

Objective Reality, the Infinite, the Totality, eternal causation, God, etc., it's all the same in the end.

Dennis, darling. You are contradicting yourself.

Isn't it precisely all things that lack inherent existence?

Truly, the self-affirming mental calisthenics around here are quite something to watch; spectacular, even.

Pin someone down with logic and watch them go BOING! Somersaults and triple cartwheels in mid-air!

Quite the trick of detonation in a thinking man’s minefield… :)

I was attempting to unthing which is ordinarily thinged.

give us a break.

it seems one is up shit creek without a paddle in the house of language where identities a thinged and appear as fixed.

Only something seen, the appearances exist, not the 'things'.
Yet the question was, what is the continuation/existence of appearance itself dependent upon?

To make a distinction between an objective thing and an abstract thing?

Not really. For instance, an abstract thing is, by definition, a thing of fixed meaning, no?

We wouldn't have to talk about this shit if there weren't 2 perspectives to operate out of.

The universe exists as a thing in itself independently.

The Universe is supported by a myriad array of causes/conditions therefore is not a thing in itself.

either way is an act of consciousness.
