~M~Can one be a christ-centered atheist???? hmmm! ;-)at 11:14 PM Jun 10 Mood:Righteous
NEWTONS LIGHT at 11:16 PM Jun 10 of course..I have the highest respect for Christ and what he taught, even though most of his stuff was taken from the Buddhist teachings
~M~ at 11:21 PM Jun 10 Ahm! Good answer! I am going to stay objective on this one!
NEWTONS LIGHT at 11:23 PM Jun 10 Christ had many wonderful things to say in his teachings..I can easily follow what he suggested except for the divinity part..I dont believe he was divine, I beleive he was a very wise man that attempted to show people how to have compassion for those around them, just like the Buddha did
~M~ at 11:28 PM Jun 10 The divinity part...! I guess this is the main question? Which we can only answer by what we (*cough, cough*) believe about it all and how it affects or, not the spiritual part of our being...

Teaching of any religion, or what one believes does not answer the question. Is life given more abundantly to a christian, buddhist, moslem, or atheist? Someone tell me what religion God is. Who can judge where Christ is and isn't? and who can say Christ respect one being over another because of human indoctrination? Christ is everywhere. This means Christ is equally omnipresent in the life of all men regardless. If this is not true, show and tell me where Christ is not. jufa
~M~ at 5:15 PM Jun 11 Thanks Jufa, that makes sense to me... Although it does not make sense to many others... And so it remains that we must learn Christ.
Never give power to anything a person believes is their source of strength - jufa

Can one be a Christ centered atheist?
Can one be a Christ centered Atheist was your question, and I shall answer it. As you know, an atheist is one who denys the existence of God, therefore, any truth he knows about Jesus(God)will be denied, but to be Christ centered is to have Christ on the mind constantly on a daily basis, his every thought is on Christ, and if this was so, then he wouldn't be able to call himself an atheist, because how can an atheist deny Christ yet have him on his mind constantly? It would be more like the atheist is seriously affected by Christ's influence over him, and hates that rather than Christ himself.
