Killing Oneself and Emotions
Killing Oneself and Emotions
I have always wondered do you have to be unhappy to kill yourself? Also, I wonder are emotions real, or just a state of mind or a dillusion? If you think they are real ,tell me what they feel like to you, if you can.

Emotions are real, but they are delusions. Also, I wonder are emotions real, or just a state of mind or a dillusion?

Bear in mind, you are not actually killing your-self, you are saying no more to your genetic heritage.
Everyone is essentially killing themself, and their progeny, just by existing. To have children is to give them a death sentence.
Most all people only realize this truth on their death bed, then they truly regret what they did, but it's too late.

Re: Killing Oneself and Emotions
One of the biggest flaws of the self is that it tends to carry past experiences into the present moment, and long to have them repeated if they were pleasurable, or long to conquer them through some sort of action if they were negative, but no action can end negative memory, only a long period of non-action can do that.
That is why mysticism talks about totally ending the pursuit of experiences for awhile, and if one negates the desire to repeat past pleasurable experiences, eventually the mind no longer experiences many of the negative emotions caused by the absence of the positive ones. For instance: in my past, I have been non-serious or comedic around individuals who haven't found themselves, and I essentially create a drug addict that is dependent on my humor, even if that humor is designed to point out stupidity.
A rational mind usually doesn't experience emotional karma so when his actions cause emotions in others, he feels it. For instance: In the past, people who I have tried to enlighten with truth laced in comedy have called my cell phone over and over again, addicted to the humor, not the truth, and before they call me, sometimes I feel a deep sorrow, a loneliness, and a desire to feel at one with somebody. I was essentially the cause of that. My actions.
A rational mind essentially takes on the suffering of the world, his karma is the worlds, and other people's karma is his...and that is why he needs to be careful who he speaks honestly with, and who he attempts to teach....and how he attempts to do it... tricky business indeed.
Essentially, emotions are suffering, whether positive or negative. And they feel very real even though they are delusions. Even a rational mind that experiences the emotions of others is effected by it, it is very alien and intense to a mind that has not felt emotions for awhile. For instance: Today on the bus, myself and a group of strangers stood on the crowded bus as it drove over a large bridge, and one of the girls spoke about how she has a phobia of heights and dying by falling, and one of her male class mates kept putting tragic images in her mind of the bus plunging over the side of the bridge into the water, and there was an intense fear that subsumed that entire area of space, it was sheer terror that I felt, very strong, and intense.... It was a very REAL thing, even though a delusion.
Moreover, delusional Emotions are usually always sustained by phantom-like or cartoon-like or nightmare-like thought patterns. The imagination is the devil of the unenlightened mind, it mirrors insanity back into the eyes of the self which cause emotion. In the enlightened mind, the imagination is totally empty except when it is reflecting the stark reality of what is.
