It is ironic that the philosopher king is the only man fit to govern people, but no one will listen to him; especially in the western world because the people despise his values.
I suspect that Tibet was so easy to govern because the people had no ‘knowledge’ of what they were missing.
It would be much more difficult to achieve the same end in the west because the people here are spoiled disgusting little brats. They won’t give up their rotten unhealthy foods, the luxuries in their houses, they’re oversized houses, their unnecessary toys, their flashy designer clothes, their entertainments, their drinking, smoking and gambling binges, etc and so on.
The people in the west are cursed with the ‘knowledge’ of pleasure and therefore they are afraid to lose their misery whereas the people of Tibet had nothing to lose and therefore it was easy to govern them.
The west is definitely heading down a more complicated and perhaps even a more sorrowful trajectory.
