Actually, it's mostly lunacy, a bunch of insecure pseudointellectuals who destroy all meaning and context when they get in a jam, retreating from reality in a self- stymying cloud of zealous nihilism. But I make a lot of sense. Stay tuned.Anti-christ wrote:Right. So I have a few skeletons in my closet.
Bitter is sweet, thank goodness!!!
Now, how about this for your fancy pancies, can you count how many colors you can visualize each day out? Can you ever in your daily lives just for a moment forget about time? Is there truth spoken in this class room full of masters or is it all just a bunch of lunacy???
I forget about time every 3 to 7 minutes.
Oddly enough, that describes you perfectly. Are you sure you are not projecting..millipodium wrote:insecure pseudointellectuals who destroy all meaning and context when they get in a jam, retreating from reality in a self- stymying cloud of zealous nihilism.
If that's your game, it's getting more than a little old.

To tell you the truth my concepts aren't original. Cause and effect has it. Horoscopes call my shots. Don't need to expand since Y=mc3. Generally, logic is a path I choose not to endow in since it is so meaningless, leaving me in a cube. Male genes are what X. And, female Y? Why is this? Simple...Whatch the X genes form a + turned at a vertical and Y -<.

Cory. You never satisfactorily explained why it's rational to do well on a test. Are trying to survive or something? Have you fallen under the illusion that the future is real? Oh no!Cory Duchesne wrote:Loof wrote:

Why don't you go back, re-read the thread where I talked about the test, and then continue the debate there.Cory. You never satisfactorily explained why it's rational to do well on a test.
When and where did I say anything about not bothering with survival? Are trying to survive or something? Have you fallen under the illusion that the future is real? Oh no!
On the contrary, everything I have to say is infinitely practical when it comes to survival.
Emotions have outlived their usefulness, and are currently threatening our survival.

Something about inculcating children to accept their insignificance?Cory Duchesne wrote:Why don't you go back, re-read the thread where I talked about the test, and then continue the debate there.Cory. You never satisfactorily explained why it's rational to do well on a test.
Absolutely wrong. Our emotions are crucial to our survival. Of course AT TIMES they need to be moderated with meditation techniques. This does not mean all of emotions have outlived their usefulness. You're woefully misguided. When and where did I say anything about not bothering with survival? Are trying to survive or something? Have you fallen under the illusion that the future is real? Oh no!

Right. It all fits together; people are to be told they are insignificant, so they will agree to have their own resource usage, and hence, population, curtailed by international law. Self hate, justifying a slow strangulation. Noble?Elizabeth Isabelle wrote:For the last 15 minutes, they have been talking about global warming, water, and recycling.mil: I'm not downloading a 17 mg file of crap. The point is, is that people think that their petty ego's are so significant, that they refuse to acknowledge the destruction of the thing that they depend on for survival.Right. And why are humans destroying the thing that they depend on to survive?
For the same reason that a drug addict will destroy his body and mind.
And why does a drug addict destory his body and mind?
Because he so full of emotion. He can't acknowledge that what he thinks is important is paltry. If he did, he would live less emotionally and more rationally.
Pettiness, small mindedness. That's the problem.
What causes pettiness and small mindeness I wonder?

You refuse to differentiate between positive and negative emotion. It could be healthy self love of wanting to survive which could cause him to want to kick the habit, by analyzing his emotions, figuring out what's wrong, and fixing it. The "I AM NOTHING" theory of enlightenment (nihilism) you espouse, doesn't help him. In fact, it makes him more despondent. You have obviously never had much pain or many problems to be this confused.

Failure to understand the bigger perspective, perhaps from failure to open one's mind to other paradigms or inability due to mental deficiency

Emotional extremes are not good, including the extreme of attempting non-emotion. Natural non-emotional states such as shock or numbness have specific functions. Neutralish emotions are good (emotions such as serenity of peaceful). I am not finding any benefit to imposed numbness. Poor concentration, insomnia, and lack of motivation seem to be the biggest issues at this point, although there were worse pointsearlier in the experiment. I think this is day 6 of the experiment including the warm-up day, day 5 since the official start. No, I have not been perfect at being able to remove all emotions since the official start, though right now I'm pretty numb. It could just be the insomnia though.

Some parents take the phrase "beating the hell out of children" literally. They actually think that is how to raise good children. Maybe some children do need a spanking, whereas it has been found harmful in most cases. Some people operate best from the paradigm that they are insignificant, whereas that thought taken to heart by someone else would be more like permission for suicide. The big mistake is in thinking everyone is the same. We are not.millipodium wrote:Is it love or compassion that motivates people to lecture others about their own insignificance?Elizabeth Isabelle wrote:

Emotions are reactions to focus us on actions and thoughts which will enhance our survival. They're an inborn protection mechanism.
New World Order totalitarians hate emotions, because HUMAN LOVE is an impediment to their satanic plans for the planet. SO that's the deal with that.
Does cory believe in positive emotions?

Population control schemes? Sorry I don’t deal in those. For you to think so only reveals your own paranoia, not mine.Cory: The point is, is that people think that their petty ego's are so significant, that they refuse to acknowledge the destruction of the thing that they depend on for survival.
Milli: But you people are using the environment to justify your own paranoid population control schemes. You Satanic new world orderers. Yes, You, cory.
I am using the environment as an example, to show how insane humanity is. Stupidity is a bad habit. Excellency is a good habit. Humanity for the most part is defined by what are essentially bad, stupid habits. And the extremity of your conservatism Milli is imbecilic.
It’s a bit superfluous to do so, since the negative and the positive are rooted in each other. For instance, the positive emotion that you derive from your beliefs create the negative emotions/fear that you feel when you come face to face with that which is in opposition to your beliefs.Cory: And why are humans destroying the thing that they depend on to survive? For the same reason that a drug addict will destroy his body and mind. And why does a drug addict destory his body and mind?

Personal survival really isn’t as difficult as you make it out to be. I agree that collectively we are not doing a very good job of suriviving right now, but on a personal level, one person shouldn’t have too much trouble supporting themselves given that they don't blow their money on drugs, luxury, gambling and the like. It’s when you have a family that things get tricky too. You end up having mouths to feed. So personal survivial is not big deal. The problem lies in the inner poverty & anxiety of the individual who wants to cover over his inner poverty by indulging in the vanity and animalism of producing children and social climbing(which can manifest in various ways). It could be healthy self love of wanting to survive which could cause him to want to kick the habit, by analyzing his emotions, figuring out what's wrong, and fixing it.
You have a shallow understanding of depression and mental illness I guess.Milli: The "I AM NOTHING" theory of enlightenment (nihilism) you espouse, doesn't help him. In fact, it makes him more despondent. You have obviously never had much pain or many problems to be this confused.
Mental problems are the result of two extremes of abusive parenting. One way of abusive parenting involves spoiling, giving excessive affection/comfort and aggrandizing the children, and the opposite involves deprecating, depriving and physically & verbally hurting the children. Why do these two forms of abuse happen? The parents aggrandize a particular part of reality, making it lop-sided and crooked. Thus, lop-sided and crooked humans are the result.
