Pissed Catholic Mom lambasting her outed atheist son.
I can't speak to the kid's ulterior motive- if any, but his mom sure has a way of working things out. God bless.
Warning: Video contains cursing.

Woman's intuition. Er, no, sorry, just intuition. There's something about it that doesn't ring true. The mother falters like she has forgotten her lines or something, but that could just be a result of her Catholic hysteria. I guess it's possible I just don't want to believe that any person could be so completely deranged as to threaten an outed atheist son with Xmas.
It does seem a bit fake. I noticed this, but decided to ignore it. I think the message is an authentic one regardless. Like Philo said, this probably happens every day.
That part seems quite unremarkable to me.I guess it's possible I just don't want to believe that any person could be so completely deranged as to threaten an outed atheist son with Xmas.
I live in a tub.

Nah, that was just her getting so angry she can't think. I saw hundreds of those scenes from my parents, and probably 50 or so from other people's parents. It isn't very nice, but it doesn't even fall under the legal definition of abuse. Crud, I'd call it normal, between the frequency that this stuff happens and considering what I think of normalcy.

Yeah, that was mild compared to my experience. I got hours each day for days on end first yelling, then crying... threats about my continued participation in a religious private school... and my parents weren't even very religious people themselves.
I don't believe this video though. The camera is at too perfect an angle and why is it even on?

It looked to me like a sibling had the camera in hand when the brother announced that he was an atheist, and the sibling realized this ought to be interesting, flipped the camera on, and set it in the dining room table. When the mother started shaking the brother, the sibling with the camera realized there would be hell to pay if he/she were caught, and decided to turn it off.
