What is murder?
What is murder?
Is it the sacrifice of one's own selfish acts to accomplish an end?
I've come to this conclusion because there are so many technicalities involve in the spiritual walk. I imagine one of the keys to finding a happy ending is 'memory'. I believe that good memories helps an individual for perfection.
A perfect example is buddha whose mind frame was surrounded by good ideals. Still, one must sacrifice his or her happiness to accomplish an end. That end being life ahead of it self. A journey into the past only makes us stronger when we can influence the future. Still, happiness is given to those of mature estates. So, does the consciousness need exhaustion for perfectionism?

Re: What is murder?
Murder is the nullification or denial of something that exists. Therefore, we murder an infinite number of things, including ourselves, everyday.
But ultimately, murder is an impossibility, because nothing can nullify the Truth. Even in nullifying it, we affirm it. God laughs as we fruitlessly try to destroy him and his children.
This necessarily brings the question - what if something is murdered with full consciousness of the act, because obviously we are murdering so many things each moment? Is it "murder"? No, because that is obviously not the denial of truth, but the acceptance of it. It is humility. Who is humble enough to accept the fact that he necessarily murders?

Re: What is murder?
I think that murder is "not nice" is sort of contained in the meaning of the term.
Re: What is murder?
A genius mind can only circulate so much memory before it is exhausted. Hence, the term A=A. Imagine, one's self left in an enviroment where there is no other awareness like itself[ mammals such as itself] It would fail! Life in order to exist needs the awareness of other life forms. Life cannot survive without the comfort of itself and others. Still, I think Nietzsche when receiving this message in his own head 'God is dead...' Meant it for all of us to hear.jupiviv wrote:Murder is the nullification or denial of something that exists. Therefore, we murder an infinite number of things, including ourselves, everyday.

Re: What is murder?
OlK I would have defined it more purposefully by using the word 'murderous' but I didn't think we would go into detail about it.

Re: What is murder?
I didn't mean the murder of human beings. I meant the murder of self will, self power. The enemy in this type of world is ourselves. The memory of self improvement. The memory that outdoes the great spiritual leaders who always aimed at improving the 'self' I cannot murder a great philosopher for he is already dead.jupiviv wrote:Murder is the nullification or denial of something that exists.
