What is the difference between faith in randomness vs. faith in a Supreme Being?

It's more likely only a matter of faith vs chance.

Or a matter of chance in which type of faith one believes.

Yes, but scientists aren't supposed to have "faith" in such things. Scientists only run with things so long as they produce results. When the results are no longer forthcoming, they run with something else. At least, that's the way science is supposed to work.

What a random question...

ok, sorry. But really, faith in supreme being means that certain things cannot change. Even if we know they aren't true. And that becomes ridiculous quickly.

I'll bite. Which things cannot change, that aren't true, if we put faith in a Supreme Being?

At some point you have to come up with some definition of that Supreme Being which cannot change because if the definition of that being keeps changing it doesn't really exist and simply is random. As soon as you set that definition you start a landslide of things that 'must also be true.'
