Tips for improving artistic recollection?

Post by throughthemud » Wed Apr 06, 2016 12:17 am

Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night with the most sublime architecture in my dreams. Even my nightmares have very nice geometry in them. Problem is, I can't seem to recall it that well, or draw it on paper that accurately. These kinds of thoughts can best be described as "henids", half thoughts and memories. What I would like to do, is be able to draw out my geometry that I see in my reams, on paper, 100 or at least 99% accurate, and then somehow fill it in on the computer with the right colors and textures. I have trouble with that, things get lost in translation, the color palettes and textures I can't place exactly as the dream. Even my own writings, aren't exactly the same words as when I think them, there is a degree of quality loss.
