Yeah, Russell is a pretty intelligent and funny dude...and a stirrer which I like.
Mind you if one knew him well, he'd probably be quite a pain.

It is pleasing he can do the sort of out there stuff he does without still having to take hard drugs. I also like the fact that he goes off at the Paparazzi.

And look like that girl? No thank you. I've been on the Paleolithic Diet for years now. Seems to agree with me, since I weigh less than I did when I was an athlete in high school.

Meat, eggs, nuts, veggies and fruit. Water and coffee. No bread, no rice, no pasta, no cheese, no processed. Cigars.

Walk five miles a day. 300 pushups a day. Work as a physical laborer and write. Also a Dzogchen practitioner.

A disciplined life. There you have it.

Did you have the "direct pointing out" from a dzogchen master ?
[" He in whose heart the words of the master have entered, Sees the truth like a treasure in his own palm".] [Saraha]

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pointing-out_instruction

http://www.nyingma.com/dzogchen1.htm

"The everyday practice of dzogchen is just everyday life itself. Since the undeveloped state does not exist, there is no need to behave in any special way or attempt to attain anything above and beyond what you actually are. There should be no feeling of striving to reach some "amazing goal" or "advanced state."

To strive for such a state is a neurosis which only conditions us and serves to obstruct the free flow of Mind. We should also avoid thinking of ourselves as worthless persons - we are naturally free and unconditioned. We are intrinsically enlightened and lack nothing."

I'm not a Dzogchen teacher, Kunga Din, thus is would be improper of me to discuss it per se outside the sangha, as my shortcomings would be an improper and inaccurate reflection upon the teachings (which is itself a teaching), but I think a reasonable exception to share that teaching, seeing as how I initiated the topic and thus some curiosity. But if you're guided to seek a teacher the internet is certainly a good resource to find a teacher, since that is the tradition.

There are very good teachers right here, Kunga. Dan and David, wise men, (Kevin's participation was before my time so I can't speak of him), and many others. Take advantage of this rare and special resource right here, right in front of you, while you can.
