Tea Party madman shoots public servant Giffords

Post by sdgreco »

A sad, sad day for the world, for the Good, shot to the head Representative G Giffords of Arizona, perhaps the finest female congresswoman ever to serve We the People.
Dedicated, intelligent (i mean really intelligent), sincere, informed, lovely inside and out. What a huge loss.
How undeserved.

Could have the party of elephants kept this from happening.
Were they aware of this nutcase in their midst.
Did it occur to them that he might bite as well as bark.

I say "YES" is the answer to all these questions.

Recover well, Ms Giffords. Forget serving those incapable of appreciating you.
Enjoy the rest of your life. Remain beautiful but think for yourself from now on.
You've earned the right.
I'm so sorry.

Nothing like a bit of raw opportunism masked as piety in the wake of brutality to skew perspective ...

Here’s a good commentary.

Restrained, balanced, fair, rational, objective, proportional, non-propagandizing, non-hysterical, lacking in sanctimonious piety, and unfortunately for the sensationalist-seeking conspiracy-minded all too willing to be jerked about, not particularly entertaining.

Another commentary based on reason and rationality...
You can’t put a paranoid lunatic like Jared Loughner, the Tucson shooter, anywhere on the Left or Right of our political spectrum. This was equally true of Clay Duke, the Panama City school board shooter, who was marinated in a thick stew of socialist literature, class envy, and hard-Left websites. It was true of Joseph Stack, the man who flew his airplane into an IRS building in Austin, Texas, leaving behind an anti-capitalist manifesto that approvingly cited the “communist creed.” It was true of James Lee, the environmental extremist who used bombs to take hostages at the Discovery Channel headquarters last September.

No matter what any of these deranged individuals professed to believe, their crimes should not be pinned on the free expression of liberals, because we should not grant editorial control of our speech to lunatics. Likewise, Jared Loughner is responsible for his actions. No matter what ultimately motivated him to shoot Representative Giffords and murder six other people, including a little girl, no part of the blame rests with whoever he happened to agree with, or criticize.

Hey there, Bozo.

Turns out his momma worked for the county. The coppers had been having run-ins with this dolt for years and momma was using her influence to keep him from facing reality. The Sheriff of the county is also an out-of-touch pinko.

Any evidence at all the Tea Party was involved?

In a preemptive move so that people are not hurt and witnesses do not have to experience sad angst, perhaps the authorities should do a Minority Report on this offending congressman?

And who can forget the extensive media coverage of this incident in Denver during the 2008 Democratic Convention?

Incident begins at 3:02 of the video.
