6th Annual Illusion of the Year Contest

Arthur Shapiro from American University, Zhong-Lin Lu from USC, and two colleagues won first place
in the Visual Sciences Society's Best Visual Illusion of the Year contest for this very cool animation,
which offers a theory about how the human eye perceives curveballs. To better understand why
batters can't always trust what they see, follow the instructions and read the brief explanation.

I'd nominate the Obama administration, as being a vehicle of hope and positive change, and especially Barack himself, as a peacemaker.

It's a hoax. If you watch it long enough it just switches directions every few minutes or so.

Ten of the greatest optical illusions

From normal-looking upside-down faces turning grotesque to horozontal line appearing to
slope but are in fact parallel, Richard Wiseman chooses his ten favourite optical illusions.

Is this Einstein or Marilyn Monroe? >> http://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/moslive ... sions.html
