Maybe an Urban Myth, it goes like this:

During WWII, a tremendous number of young American men found themselves in arms, in close quarters, with other young men. It goes without saying that there were many homosexuals in the Armed Forces. Many didn't get asked and didn't tell; but for the rest, what was Uncle Sam going to do with them? The Navy had a base in SF and it was here that many men who were discovered to be gay were quietly processed and discharged. No need to make headlines and damage the war effort. So a lot of these young men, who had come from all around the country, decided to remain in SF, whether because they could not afford to go home, were ashamed to go home, or "home" had nothing to offer them. They had each other, and so the gay community flourished in SF during and after the war years.

That's a good one, and Tomas is a vet! Yikes!

Couldn't find the old image I had, but I like the back to nature idea that my new bunny represents.

I wonder if he ever killed anyone.. That takes guts to shoot someone, but if it's you or me, then I'd do it, but I'm not really into warfare. I'd rather let everyone live in peace. :-)

How the Clintons will undo McCain

According to T, they reveal that McCain had made an "accomodation" with his captors, and in exchange, T's father saw that he was provided with an apartment in Hanoi and the services of two prostitutes.

The whole political system in the US is a theater play with predictable results but different actors

It's misleading to put not only someone else's picture in for an avatar, but someone who does not represent your demographic in any way, such as age and gender, wouldn't you agree?
I agree, but a lot of people here do it.

Ain't he the weirdo that claimed to see a UFO? The last thing Americans need is a vegetarian in the House. What a bummer, offered tofu for a snack...

Another Manchurian candidate to help tip it for the Republicans.

I asked you a question,
damn it. Answer it.

-tomas-
Barbara was/is a water buffalo.

Hillary or George H.W.? I'll take George the 1st

Obama or George the 1st? - Tossup...

John Edwards or George 1st? - Probably George 1st

Ron Paul or George 1st? - Leaning Ron Paul

---------------------------------------------

-Shah- Should we cater to weightists?

-tomas-
What is a weightist?

----------------------------------------------

-Shaz-
Yes, I saw it. What's your point?

None, really.

ps- McCain is a creepazoid and a serial adulterer.

Should Obama win the Democratic party nomination, he'd clean all the Republican's clocks but Ron Paul.

Hey, you losers.

Here's a post (in reply to Shah) back in January, 2008.

Obama won the nomination and went on to win the election. That said, Hillary was ripped off in the Dem primary "process", but she should have returned to Illinois and ran from there. The New York bit probably cost her the nomination as the state would have gone her way anyway.

Ron Paul was skunked out but that's that.

Sour grapes, I don't think so :-)

Yes, and he is J.D.Rockafellers CFR puppet like Hillary. Clintons in white house were exception to rule. It’s just business. Everyone will be talking how Obama won and Hillary lost... who is Ron Paul?
