TheBigview is shitty little hole, a blight on the internet.
Thomas knierim is a little asslicking vegetable shover.
Anyone agree or disagree?

He's an intolerant tool who applies a different standard of enforcement to those who disagree with the brainlessness of his bevy of retarded posters.sschaula wrote:Disagree.
I think he's about the same as the rest of us. I wouldn't call him names, or make fun of his website. We're all just human..and stupid.
I will call him names. I will make fun of his website.
I miss seeing Thomas here. He was a well educated and experienced person with much success. Where I point out on this forum that nothing here has anything to do with 'enlightenment' as understood by Vedanta, Thomas was useful in pointing out that nothing here has much to do with sound philosophy. He knows his science, too.

He banned me for making fools of his brightest and best.Cory Duchesne wrote:Milli,
Why do you think this?
Do you think 'thebigview' is worse then this forum?
Give me some reasoning, rather than just childish name calling.
Go read it if the thread still there in the religion section. He's an intolerant, totalitarian, toad-face.

I looked at his flashy website (thebigview.com), and within moments could tell that it's a waste of time. He keeps his philosophy in the order a coin collector would order his coins. Nation and date of origin, with neat little summaries for each.
I wouldn't call him an ass so much as a pseudo-philosopher (or philosophy collector).

The funniest joke/quip I ever heard was referencing that scene in se7en, like, what if that bizarre penis knife strap-on had "mother" egnraved on the side of the blade?Cory Duchesne wrote:Milli,
I read the religion thread.
There were some big laughs in that one.
I think the 'knife-sodomy' remark was what got you banned.
As David Spade once said (after making a Jean-bennet Ramsey Joke):
"where's the line people? I don't see the line"
They're just a bunch ninnies who can't take a joke. They suffer from the same nihilims that many here do, but at least you guys tolerate other points of view, and rude humour. This board is way superior.

It seems to me that you were taking offense where none was intended, then the more they tried to explain that no offense was intended, the more offended you got. Then when they tried to drop the topic, you took more meaning into their inaction as well.
What could anyone have said to you to show you that no offense was intended?

I would posit your perception of the thread was way off. Offense was obviously intended. They are close-minded anti-christian, anti-morality bigots.Elizabeth Isabelle wrote:It seems to me that you were taking offense where none was intended, then the more they tried to explain that no offense was intended, the more offended you got. Okay, I accept that I could have missed something. Sometimes my nature becomes overly compassionate and I do not see an offense. Would you please do me the favor of picking an example, and pointing out exactly how it was intended to be offensive?millipodium wrote:I would posit your perception of the thread was way off. Thank you for educating me on this matter.

The way Milli picks fights with shadows makes him funny in an unintentional way. But then he's also intentionly funny too.
To watch him in action is always a doubly hillarious display, at least for me.
I simultaneously laugh with him and at him almost everytime I read his posts, especially when he insults me directly.
That's partly what made it so hillarious - the puzzled reactions from the guy with the Dali Lama picture was just too much.It seems to me that you were taking offense where none was intended, then the more they tried to explain that no offense was intended

I'll let this go dan, cuz apparently you're like, some big deal or something.Dan Rowden wrote:Actually, whilst I think Milli's a bit of an arse himself, Thomas certainly is a giant arse and always has been. mini-podium,
Perhaps you were banned for being a cretin.
I find nothing wrong with Thomas. He's a gentleman. What is wrong with a philosophy collection? Philosophies are like a collection of deserts or photos or bracelets. All pretty and a little different. Makes no difference to the enlightened one. Life is a collection of gems.
You will do well here where arrogance, meanness and vulgarity is prized. It is like a mud fight between boys in knickers and caps at boarding school.

Your style Mill is that you come on sadisitically and then get off on the masochism of being crucified by the people you sadistically provoke.
But sure, I still think your funny - but at the same time I know you value emotions more than you value logic.
And so it's hard to take you seriously.
From what I read, it didnt seem they were so much trying to villanize you, but they just recognized you as someone who wanted to be villainized. It was clear to them that you were not there to seriously learn and teach, but to piss people off and stir emotional reactions. The people over there prefer to villainize instead of engaging honest debate.
