To people here who might have dabbled with meditation. Do you have to deal/ have dealt with the case of 'stuck piti' as Leigh Brasington calls it.

Some links to get an idea of what I'm talking about -

I've particularly had continuous activity in the forehead area that seems to stabilizing, though it's not quite receded.

If you have had this before, has it affected or does it continue to affect your philosophical investigations in any discernible way?

"Where the concentration goes, the energy flows".

It might be all simply a side-effect of concentration, when some tension of over-stimulation simply exhausts parts of the mental capacity. Rapid blood flow to the fine maze of vessels around the brain certainly can cause aches or tension. Then again, the mind and body are full of energies, nervous energies and memory of their flow (the overall programming). This is why everyone reacts differently and it's hard to say what's good and bad in each case. Or what's completely irrelevant or navel gazing.

There can be many kinds of powerful manifestations in the body along the way. You'll have to learn that it will always pass and that it's not a matter of control. In most cases it's about release of build-up energies and tensions. Find the pattern, introduce adjustment, witness the pattern changing.

And when in doubt about a strange reaction of the body, always consult a regular doctor. Sometimes there are other causes.
