Moving, I don't have much more to add other than this:

I definitely wasn't intending to promote Langan as a role model, but that he happens to use his high IQ for more productive venues. What I found interesting about him in that video is his promotion of the importance of logic, that logic negates any need for faith, and the desire to understand the nature of reality. Also, I'm sure he was using the "Mind of God" phrase in a more metaphorical sense, as to say that the universe functions in a logical way as in the way logical thoughts do. For example, causality functions perfectly, even if it delusional sentience is one of the results of it.

I more or less agree with what you say about his statements regarding eugenics/anti-dysgenics, in the sense that it expresses a bit of an egomaniacal desire for control.
