We often think of causality as things in the present are the way they are now because of things in the past. We can also think of causality as the idea that things are caused by their constituent parts like a car is existing because it has an engine, a frame, bumpers, lights, etc. But causality can go deeper than just these ideas. In fact future events can cause the present moment. Say I want to go to the movies and watch a film. I drive to the theater and buy the ticket because of the movie. But ultimately its silly to think of it all in this way. Ultimately you have to get rid of this silly idea of cause and effect.
In physical nature, there are no separate events. Its easy to see. All you have to do is take an event and ask how you separate it from other events. When did you start existing for instance? An event is just a term that we use to measure imaginary things. Just like you can't count the particles in a wave of light, so too you can't count the events in reality. When you see that separate events don't exist, it doesn't make sense to say that one event caused another. Those two events are just a part of the same event.
Pool balls don't move because they are hit by cues. The pool ball hits the cue and the whole earth moves. Which point of view is correct? Its silly to say either. Reject cause and effect.
