logical women on facebook

Post by Orenholt »

https://www.facebook.com/LogicalWomen

I'm hoping to gain some "likes" and contributions from other members here.
Contributions can be comments on the pictures or suggestions for future pictures.

I know I am not FULLY logical myself but that doesn't mean that I don't strive to be.
I refrain from posting anything I don't believe is 100% true.

Also, the page is not JUST for women. Men of either sex are free to join too. ;)

Thank you Tor.

And as for Kelly Jones... This is not an invitation to troll and be negative. :|

I can understand having doubts about things or even negative opinions about SOME things but you, Kelly, have not made ONE SINGLE positive comment on ANYTHING on the page at all. It's like you came there solely for the purpose of harassment.

Well, I’ve never been on Facebook. I only know bits and pieces of abstractions concerning Facebook. What’s so special about it? Does Facebook have anything to do with the absolute? If so, what? Do you think Facebook lengthens or shortens the path to enlightenment? Do you think enlightenment is a path?

Facebook is just a "social media" site. That means that anyone can post pictures or text of just about anything within the limits. (the limits ban pornography mostly) The only thing that's "special" about facebook is that it's highly popular so most people that you know probably are already connected to it. The only thing that facebook has to do with "the absolute" is that it can be discussed on there. Granted, most of facebook focuses on the mundane events of people's personal lives and silly games like "farmville" but that doesn't negate the potential it has as an outlet for spreading wisdom and enlightenment.

Given that facebook is so popular already it seems like a good place to give out information. So yes, facebook COULD shorten the path to enlightenment IF there are more pages like mine (logical women) and they gain great popularity. As stated in previous threads, I don't claim to be a Buddha or anything like that... I'm still learning and training. However I do intend to spread what wisdom I have as I gain more along the way. I think that enlightenment is both a destination AND a path.

Here are some pictures from the logicalwomen's facebook page...

This one is the header of the page.

This one is a quote from Hypatia.

This one is a quote from Marie Curie.

There are also quotes from a lot of men on there like Einstein, Gandhi and Buddha.

Thanks for the suggestion but what is it that I should be noticing about her that's remarkable?

It's just a picture I like. I first saw it as the original and have returned to look at it many times over the years.
