I didn't hear one accomplishment or any important last words, possibly related to enlightenment, that drastically change the lives of your loved ones. A small whole kahuna indeed. If this thread were halloween, and I were a teenage girl, I'd tell you to try again with the costume, how often can you get away with it? Must have done/learned a thing or two talking philosophy every day.

LIving life as I am.

Write to my wife and children.

What I've done doesn't matter.

The people that have known me and know me now understand me.

I've a circle of perhaps ten close friends (brothers and sisters in spirit) and the rest have already preceded me in death. They know me as well as they conceivable can so there would be nothing to discuss.

Recently had a reunion in 2011 so that's that.

He was saying that he thinks that a thinking self exists, therefore he thinks that it exists. He's not a philosopher I rate highly.

It's saying that the 'I' exists because of the other. If the other were to change, then so would the 'I'.

In either case, I've just realised that life is the mountain of the future, the summit of which we try to climb before being inevitably dragged down by the bungee cord, which is the present, attached to the fathoms of the abyss of death, which is the past. The tension in the cord is our hope, since the higher we climb the more we hope. Therefore it is better to die young than die old, since young people don't have as much hope as old people, since they don't have as much of a past.

You can't really blame the natives for over-thinking it :) but still it did something as jupiviv mentions.

But it's yours. These things are on your mind, and you've got an audience at least appreciative to you of their opportunities on this forum [that you have to babysit, swatting away all those spamming registrees]; at least appreciative of yourself in their varying degrees . . . . so why not answer this call yourself? Why not take this opportunity to eulogize yourself around some folks who do not just read you like a newspaper obit from a stranger?

Not everyone is enlightened enough to understand that it's okay that I die. I would tell those who I figured would not be okay with my death that it is okay, I've lived life and it's my time to go. I'll no longer have to deal with life's struggles, and I've learned all of the lessons that I could for life. My time is over.

Live your life so that you will not have any regrets - and when you mess up and regret something, fix it as best as you can. Life may seem long, but it is also quite short. Don't waste time.

I love you, and if I get an afterlife, I will love you then, too.
