Dan,
It looks like your philosphical argument is:

To be is to appear.
Finite appears sensually, Infinite does not.
Accessing Infinite involves Reason.

By deductive logic Infinite appears writ large, unconcealed.
Infinite is.

the next part is separation is illusion.

It can be said Spirit is in all things,
the phenomenon Alzheimer's is a condition or event falling out of causes,
It can be said causality is the way of Spirit,
the play of causality.

well, something's hurting.

to lash out is the voice of the victim.
playing the victim.
i feel too much......like i am a being of everyone.
group dynamic theory says at least one 'feels' all the tensions present in the group and 'rages' discontent.
Is that it?

i think it's more than that....
it's not so much "the group"
it's a ever-present feeling
of wanting to understand everything clearly
and some people seem to express themselves less clearly
and i get frustrated that they do this
and i think they are trying hard to sound intelligent
as to not show their ignorance
and this pisses me off.....

so, you are playing the victim.
can you see that?

the voice of the victim lashes out.

dependent on others for 'wanting to understand everything clearly'.
which is apparently not forthcoming, hence frustration.

What's another possibility?

The truth is Kunga,

Who you are Being.

The 4 Noble Truths and the 8 fold path is 'Who are you Being'.

Heidegger, Nietzsche, Kierkegaard are 'Who are you Being'.

all the concepts are peripheral,
supposed to radically transform 'Who you are Being'.

You are always/already in Inquiry mode as teacher/student.
When you meet somebody you teach them who you are and the circumstances of your life and they listen; then they teach you who they are and the circumstances of their life and you listen.

As it goes along you conceptualise them.
You 'paint' colours on them; good, bad, handsome, ugly, stupid, intelligent, superior, inferior, winner, loser.
'fix' them as if pinning a butterfly in a display case.

They are like equipment for attachment or disposal.

Who are you Being?

Heidegger thought it best to take the 'you' and 'me' out of the picture and use the term Dasein which refers to the experience of 'being there' in circumstances.

embodied, encultured, enactive, affective, extended.

His is an interrogation of Dasein (personhood).

Geez mate, you expressly asked for more detail on the dramatic contexts people relate to each other with.
In this Inquiry, student rebels!

How would you go about it?

I can't see any other way of reading Nietzsche
for example,
without the background understanding that he is challenging me to interrogate myself on 'Who am I being'.
Kierkegaard isn't talking about anything else, vis a vis authenticity.
Buddha's thought explodes 'who am I being' and recommends acting for the benefit of others due to consequences.

Anyway, each made assessments,
weighed the options and came up with a winning formula for being-in-the world.

In their way they are regarded as doctors for the spirit.
there's an illness, a patient and a doctor.
they ask for an Inquiry from a student to teach.

There's a drama, which is the suffering, forms it, nurtures it, oozes it and also dissolutes it. This is why all inquiries for a fix will need awareness of the drama.

One good example is Talking Alex, who often does a great job in embodying all aspects of drama. He basically revolves around three characters: someone who is critiquing and chasing down the faults of a forum, a system, a collection of philosophies, then someone being attacked and persecuted by the forum or the horrible mechanics of modernity. And then someone who introduces roads to redemption, tries people to lie upon lush pastures and lead to restful waters (Psalm 23). I think he's the only poster who so nearly perfected the rapidly cycling through all three aspects. This creates somewhat of a perpetuum mobile, a source of never-ending mental energy, a spirit generating machine! His writing forms in some respect the key to dramatic life as many know it.

The opposite of all this is void. The void is like a mother devouring her own children and then herself. No drama, the source of suffering , inquiries and desires is now at rest. But wait, a pebble rolls down from the rocky hillside into the still water. Peace is disturbed again and we all go into the circles.

The question remains if the doctor and teacher is not as well, another illness? And without self-doubt, could it also start perpetuating itself?

Nice! I heartily agree. But then there is Alexis Jacobi, Wizard. What other word is there, really, to describe he who is the Synthesis of the Triune Endeavor? Wizardry? Sorcery? Postmodern Shamanism? True, we don't see much of him, and even when we do it is legerdemain, a game of appearances and disappearances; twirling, hypnotic balls spinning as if of their own accord, disobedient to the Laws of Gravity; a prancing Gnome, a wizened Taoist who yet when the cowl lifts you see into unfathomable eyes and the Lakes of Molten Energy, some effervescence of consciousness itself, a force running through manifestation, birth and death, rebirth. But here, this sums it up.

And there is so much more, really. Movie recommendations, recipes, poems, fine Dennis-bashing and footwork to trip-up and thwart Johnnish Seekers.

God Bless ... the Ass of God!

Well put Diebert.
Nice to have you back Alex.

Void as sanctuary (get thee to a nunnery)
is the 4 position in the drama-stream.

Invariably, it seems, the void guy re-enters the fold with a renewed enthusiam, a refreshed spirit for doctoring.

The question remains if the doctor and teacher is not as well, another illness?
Peace is disturbed again and we all go into the circles.
I reckon the sage trick is about keeping the spirit fine and fresh.

Isn't it a truth that we 'bind' the other in a set of concepts, a story, and effectively take them prisoner?

we 'fix' or 'pin' them like a butterfly in a display case.

In disclosing Being, Heidegger goes through Dasein,
opening up Dasein to his inauthentic mode,
his 'protective' mode,
his terror.

What I'm after I guess is the potential spellbinding in participating on a forum as a victim looking for a fix or a judgment. Or as a judge passing sentences. Or as a savior hinting at liberation. Since these are such a powerful, intoxicating roles, there's a large potential for addiction and perpetuating the bind in each other in our responses. Even by introducing liberation as unbinding, the story of "betrayal" still could happen under the radar. Anyway, this was part of the background to my last few posts.

It looks like you're concerned about a supply or lack of supply about something or other Diebert.

Drama supplies each player.

the voidist looking on is supplied.

Rationality is important to bear in mind because it can lead to the truth. The Hindus and other old dead people called this "jnana yoga." Rational inquiry can be a path to self-realization, although it is the hardest of all paths and demands the most from the seeker. It also tends to ignore the "practice" aspect of spirituality, which can cost one - as I have found out recently (and repeatedly). Once "rationally enlightened," you cannot regress intellectually, as Dan points out, but that does not necessarily mean your practice is in any kind of decent shape. I know mine could use some work.

Diebert is right. Or, as Chuang Tsu put it, "that which causes us to toil in life rests us in death."

It's really the best deal we currently have going, warts and all. Of course, any person of conscience would not want to participate any longer than a single lifetime, and thus we have things like Buddhism. Personally, I'm not a strong believer in literal reincarnation, but I fail to see how it matters much. Whether through eventual death and/or enlighternment, I intend not to visit this world again. No offense, but it's not my kind of place.

This world is much better suited to the Guidos and Paris Hilton wannabes among us. It's their kind of joint.

BTW, Alex, you are good with prose and are a talented writer, but most of what you wrote made little sense and a good deal of it sounded somewhat schizophrenic. I am not saying this to offend you, but rather to draw your attention to the issue.
