Hopefully his condition is temporary. But as I'm sure you know, clinical psychosis (whether it's full blown schizophrenia or other related illnesses) does not go away after it's been triggered. It's literally a brain injury. Medication can help bring back some normality, but it usually takes years for the person to admit they have a serious problem.

But like I said, hopefully he'll return to normal after he sobers up.

I think you missed the oracle of delphi as a pattern...this man is a true shaman...because he invoked the right shadows. Shadow in A, light to B = me. It opened up a whole range of ideas for me. Well, these were inconsistent (probably), but only to the man (or woman or hermaphrodite) who lacks categorical software for valid term replacement at the speed of light. I cannot understand it fully yet, because delay is related to process. But dejavu knows/knew science.
