'Nerd Girls' show brains can be beautiful

They're hot. They're sexy. They solve quadratic equations. They're the Nerd Girls, and they're out to explode the myth that a woman can't be both smart and drop-dead gorgeous. (see photo)

What is there to solve in a quadratic equation. 6th graders are taught how to solve those.

Meant to place this 'In the News' thread, my bad.

Did you go to http://nerdgirls.com ? Click on the profiles.

One even wears a hat as does David, Dan on their profiles page here, at Genius Forums.

But then, Dan is drop dead gorgeous :-)

David & Kevin? :-/

Most Miss America's etc. are bleach blondes, give these girls credit for remaining normal. However, my hair is going white, but no brown shoe polish in mine.

The aging process, what a beautiful choice!

I guess what one considers gorgeous, beautiful, pretty, good-looking is the same as A=A.

Another desperate attempt to make all humans seem equal. We want to believe that all people have an equal fighting chance to be rational, but it just isn’t true. Some groups clearly have advantages over others. And some groups don’t have a hope in hell of being rational. Evolution has a way of being indifferent to rationality. It is only concerned with the traits that allow a particular breed of human to survive in a particular environment, not the traits that result in the greatest rationality.

All equality arguments are denying the indifferent nature of evolution.

There was a reality show on recently called something like, “the geek and the blonde” and the purpose of the show was to get dumb white girls to cooperate with geeky guys to do certain objectives. However, the sorts of guys they recruited with very low self esteem guys, with poor characters, and not a lot of courage. The end result is that the dumb white girls were shown in contrast to be less idiotic than they actually were because they were constantly helping the geeky guys get the confidence to perform bizarre social activities as a means to improve their interactions with women. Intelligence was presented as a sort of social handicap in contrast to the woman’s emotional/social superiority, which is a common misconception.

Overall, it points at a deeper truth. It illustrates that humanity has an instinctive belief that there is something totally handicapped about intelligence, especially when it comes to sexual interactions. That is why men strive to develop a mediocre sort of charisma with women because that is what is interpreted as normal. If the show was totally honest, it would presence the absurdity of trying to please and entertain woman to score sexual points. It would show the absurdity of “normal” social interactions, and that the nervous geeks were simply apprehensive of being rejected by an unpredictable white blonde with bizarre social expectations.

It is a shame to exploit men who do not know themselves by making them feel ashamed for not being able to socialize in a very mediocre manner. Disgusting television indeed.

No, but no bag is required, either.

And solving quadratic equations isn't overly taxing.

The truth is, looks have no bearing on intelligence, unless we are speaking of a genetic abnormality such as Downes Syndrome, where both appearence and mentation are affected.

In the real world, I fear that good looks in women tend to make them not pursue more intellectual activities. That is to their disadvantage. There is nothing innately inferior about women's intellectual capacity. Drop-dead good looks may even signify a superior genotype. QRS philosophy doesn't really address the notion of Beauty. Physical attractiveness is a powerful factor in how people choose their repoductive mates, and it also factors into nonreproductive sexual activity as well. Why does Beauty hold the sway that it does?

I have been blessed to know many women who are drop-dead gorgeous, and who have not settled on geting by with their looks alone, but have gone on to become professionals in their respective fields. Truly blessed.
