The relationship between boredom and excitement

Boredom is synonymous with anxiety. And we usually only feel anxiety when the body/mind has derived excitement from outer environment/intellect.

So to free oneself from boredom, there must be freedom from all exciting activities outwardly and inwardly,

What are possible sources of excitement?

Pornography, drugs, gambling, arguing on message boards, scorning moderators, threatening moderators, singing, proud story telling, identifying with great men, believing in future fantasies, believing in anything for that matter, the adrenaline rush from heavy exercising, telling jokes, nostalgia fixations, accumulation of things we think are valuable, basically the valuing of anything is a possible candidate for excitement (nothing is of worth), staring at your own reflection, staring at another’s image, making money, killing.. and so on.

A personal preference for excitement prevents rationality, which is ultmately caused by an individual who acts from an anxious place. So excitement causes aniexty, and aniexty causes excitement. they are an undivided whole. Emptiness occurs when the individual transends both.
