Bob Michael wrote:What Christianity waits for, as its final apologetic and justification to the world, is the founding of a City which shall be in visible reality a City of God. People do not dispute that religion is in the Church. What is now wanted is to let them see it in the City. One Christian City, one City in any part of the earth, whose citizens from the greatest to the humblest lived in the SPIRIT of Christ, where religion had overflowed the Churches and passed into
the streets, inundating every house and workshop, and permeating the whole social and commercial life - one such Christian City would seal the redemption of the world.

Some such City is what John saw in his dream. Whatever reference we may find there to a world to come, is it not equally lawful to seek the scene upon this present world? John saw his City 'descending out of Heaven'. It was, moreover, no strange apparition, but a City which he knew. It was Jerusalem, a new 'Jerusalem' (the holy City).

[Henry Drummond - 'The City Without a Church' - 1892]

That's all well and dandy Carl. Enjoy your days likewise!

Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie. I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star. And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

Peace and farewell to all,

Bob M.

It was a Thursady, the 2nd of July in Our Day of the Lord 2009 when Bob 'ascended to Heaven' and left as all behind.

Looking up toward the Heavens, taking shape in the clouds, we see Bob's benevolent face. Looking down at the Earth, in the dirt and trees and rocks, we see...well, y'all know who we see.

Just another God-botherer, when push came to shove. Albeit a well read one.

Are you in AA or some such organization?

-The Bobster-
Yes Tomas, I've been associated with the AA fellowship for some 32 years.

-tomas now-
Have been...? meaning, you no longer are? Sometimes, you just need a new way to organize your thoughts :-)

-tomas earlier-
Don't you have anything original to say??

-The Bobster-
And as far as my originality goes, I can only suggest you go back through this thread and decide for yourself.

-tomas now-
Thanks, I've now read all your posts (on this forum). :-)

It's a tad different at Genius Forum (as opposed to Worldy Matters) ... less traffic, less riff-raff over there :-/

Kinda like a lot of (repetitious) dead-weight-thought on Genius ... and more free-thinking at Worldly.

Enjoy!!

Yup, Bob, much more free thinking over at "the forum for those who can't be bothered to think." Ironic, isn't it.

Do check out the Bozo the Clown thread if you get over there, it's the best of the lot.
