Re: What kind of a genius are you?
A 1440 out 1600 on my SATs years ago is the only standardized number I have for myself. It's not genius but somewhere in the 90's percentile I would guess. I always did all my homework - and no extra - in high school, that was my secret. Methodical, mostly A's, not an original thought in my head to this very day, I believe.
But I think I know genius when I see or hear it. As do most people.
Many people consider Buckminster Fuller to have been a genius. Synergetics is clearly a masterpiece of some sort and eye-catching. Yet you get the feeling if Bucky had bothered to learn prevailing architectural terminology well enough to use it, we wouldn't have to learn his so much. Isn't there another term for a tensegrity? Maybe not, but I'm not a genius, so I don't really know.
The reason I brought Bucky up is that one of his sayings seemed to sum up a very basic approach to thought and intellectual growth: "Dare to be naive."
When all else fails, it's a little thought like that which can keep you afloat.

A few years ago I got the maximum score on an IQ test that was to determine the grade of my insanity.

So you got an A on your insanity test? ;)
Re: What kind of a genius are you?
Elizabeth
the score that came back was 146.
Here's the link for proof:
David
IQ is largely irrelevant when it comes to genius.
Elizabeth
I agree that having an IQ and using it are totally different things.
David - would you teach me how to post that correctly? Would you also please teach me how to put the links in nicely like you did in my above post? (edited - Thank you David)

Ouch...Elizabeth.. I thought you were the one who started this thread... let's all compare our IQ's... nowI have trouble understanding this, Did you mean " Men are idiots, because they have penises. They think with penises.

it's not the size of the pen that matters, it's the way you write your name.

IQ does not denote genius.
A compination of Logic, Creativity and understanding of existance creates a genius

Nice... spelling (accuracy) helps too though, but yea. ;-P

To Elizabeth. 2 Years ago when I took the test my IQ was 148. I also have 6-6.5 inch penis.(don't ask) I shall call him... my mini brain. ;-)
Sorry no pictures.

Wow, boasting and dickwaving in the same post... wow.
It's not the size of the member, its who's name is written on the waistband of your boxers that counts.

I'm not, I am Relo lol
Maybe if it was understood within other people to relate to instead of argue against, then I would value IQ, not saying personally out of frusteration of the score of an IQ, of course?

The DSM-IV is far more accurate than IQ, as far as the amount of influence it's going to have on your life is concerned.

Sandy was just trying to emulate Tomas.
Any admin,
This is a very old thread, and I think that anything relevant has been said. These resurrections have become inane. Would somebody please lock it?

Thanks, Elizzy

The original thread / question was completely inane.
You may as well ask what star sign people are, or how many swimming badges they aquired while young.

I always liked to swim, but no badges. I about drowned once, back in 1975, on the island of Kauai, Hawaii. Swam out way too far - the undertow about did me in. Fortunately?* - I washed ashore, barely alive, all the tourists had a good laugh though :-(

Re: What kind of a genius are you?
Libra, and no swimming badges here either. Although I did fall asleep in the ocean once. My hair was long enough that it washed over my face, creating an air pocket. When I woke up and came out of the water, this woman came running up to me, explaining that she thought I was a dead body floating in the water, and she was about to get her husband to drag me in. She then offered me a sandwich. I swear, this is a true story.
Okay, is anybody going to lock this yet?

I took the test but due to an error on the site I have no result.
one spot I did not answer because I didn't know the answer.

What year of birth, month and day (if you'd be so kind) I'll run a scan of your Chinese horoscope on this website.
Growing up, use'ta swim in the spring-fed and snow-melt lakes in North Dakota, the sloughs when & before I didn't know any better.

Although I did fall asleep in the ocean once. My hair was long enough that it washed over my face, creating an air pocket.

Yes, better than a death mask. What to do without Elizabeth on the Genius Circuit.
And, our blood is the same saltiness as the ocean.
-Elizabeth Isabelle-
When I woke up and came out of the water,
-tomas-
It's almost like being born-again. Only this time, the umbilical cord was the hair and air pocket.

-tomas-
Had she mentioned how long she'd been observing the (your) body? Was the ocean still? Tide going in or out?
-Elizabeth Isabelle-
She then offered me a sandwich. I swear, this is a true story.
-tomas-
Tuna on rye? Or, you referring to the sleepwalking on water?
-Elizabeth Isabelle-
Okay, is anybody going to lock this yet?
-tomas-
No. There is more to this story than you are letting on.

Seemed like a long time to her. Who knows what that means when you think you're looking at a dead body in the ocean. I guess long enough to figure out it was a body rather than driftwood, and that it wasn't moving.Tomas wrote:Had she mentioned how long she'd been observing the (your) body? Was the ocean still? Ocean was neither still nor horrible. I noticed 2 consecutive waves go over my head before I fully woke up.
I didn't notice if the tide was going in or out.
The whole thing is true, and I didn't ask what kind of sandwich. I wasn't hungry, and I felt a bit embarrassed about all the fuss she was making.Tomas wrote:-Elizabeth Isabelle-

Re: What kind of a genius are you?
After reviewing the logs for your internet activities in the last year I located the specific subject you mentioned, taking the test multiple times does not in fact multiply your score to the mentioned peak.
Either way the length of a humans life and the quality of their genetics combined with certain forms of education can produce persons of exceptional quality.
Unfortunately most do not qualify for one reason or the other and that is something we seek.
At least I would hope so.
