I wish I had your balls, to just flip out new threads seemingly without a thought.

Lack of courage to post thoughtlessly? You think I should buck up and just do it?

Ah no I was just deducing a conclusion from your previous two posts ("Lack of balls" and humility). Maybe the expression you had in mind was civility.Carl G wrote:Lack of courage to post thoughtlessly? You think I should buck up and just do it?

Cool.
Btw, you don't have to quote me every time if it's just us. There's a simple "post reply" button at the bottom of the page for this sort of friendly chat.

Re: Thoughts of Others
Thoughts of others are important, but is it not more important to understand why a person may think in the way you may think they think, instead of assuming...?
In other words: Listening.

Re: Thoughts of Others
We can never be certain of what another is thinking. This may have practical implications in worldly matters but it is of no consequence at all with respect for one's pursuit of wisdom. Other minds need not exist at all for that.

We aren't equipped for mind reading. We can probably pick up on electricity in another human, and that's about it. Energy levels might give us clues, but not much.

I'd have a third one (two-tiered at that) called the "Troll Watch". The first would be "Huggies for Beginners" and the second half-tier for the graduates titled "Cloth Diapers". Then on to "Potty Training".
Diaper rash has many complicated theories surrounding it - too numerous to mention - in the Genius Section.

I think I may have gotten this right:

Re: Thoughts of Others
The thoughts of others are not important. What's it to you? You can naturally tune into someone's mindset without trying to delve deep into their thoughts. Only in listening to yourself can you actually hear someone else over the mental guessing.nitty-gritty wrote:Thoughts of others are important, but is it not more important to understand why a person may think in the way you may think they think, instead of assuming...?
