Re: Romance
I don't doubt that you've been through an extraordinary journey. I just want to find out if it's anything like what I've been through. I want to be able to see you like I see all of my spiritual brethren. Sometimes I think I can see you, and I think you can see me, but I want to make sure neither o...

Re: Romance
It's as though you've decided that you already know all the answers. There are many people here you could learn from(not me, of course;)...you need only ask them, I'm sure they would be more than happy to assist you...or you can choose to continue being a slave to your ego. The way I see it, jupviv...

Re: Romance
I barely even know what we're talking about at this point. Something about dice and a board game named Risk, which is excellent, and which I think you can play online. Ah yes, Risk, one of all time favorites! Anyway, if by your whole "have I 'truly' rolled the dice on myself" thing you me...

Re: Romance
I bet on myself so this to me makes sense. But to most would this not be the riskiest thing one can do? Yes I think so, but I was taking you at your word in assuming that you knew yourself well enough that the only way for you to take a risk now would be to bet on someone else. Or is it the other w...

Re: I have Realized the Infinite
If SK meant what you guys mean, then I find his approach utterly foolish, pretentious and emotional in nature. 99% of his readers are going to think he's referring to actual deity or cosmic consciousness, and that's just stupid. How wise is SK if he couldn't even see the glaring problems his preten...

Nick, I thought you might appreciate this rather brilliant exposition. These excerpts from it resonated the most with me. "What is a policeman? He is the active servant of the commodity, the man in complete submission to the commodity, whose job it is to ensure that a given product of human la...

Skip, I'm not convinced that you have actually reasoned long enough about the fundamental nature of reality to be taken seriously. To me it appears you have latched on to the idea that the there is no ultimate purpose (a mere appearance) and made a hedonistic religion out of it. Also, I'm not sure w...

Re: I have Realized the Infinite
The three admins of this forum share a relatively homogenous philosophy which several of the participants (including yourself) support, going so far as to refer to the findings of this philosophy as Absolute (or Ultimate) Truth. "House philosophy" is a perfectly reasonable and sensible ph...

Kelly, if it wasn't already obvious, I feel very good releasing those chemicals. I enjoy them and seek ways to get them more. Are heroin, ecstasy, and/or cocaine an option for you? These drugs release massive amounts of those chemicals in your brain that you seek out and cherish, so it would seem l...

I'm seriously trying to get you to see the fatal contradictions within your philosophy and induce some self-reflection. Where have you been trying to do that, specifically? What "fatal contradictions" have you pointed out, specifically? [You] run your mouth about something which you admit...

Re: What is the consciousness of a woman really like?
Well if we follow the logic of this statement, then we can say that nobody can consent to anything at all. No reason to single out sex right? Seems pretty ridiculous to say that two people can't willingly participate in something together that they both want to do. That doesn't follow the logic of ...

Re: What is the consciousness of a woman really like?
By chastity I meant, of course, continence, celibacy, virginity, etc. In short, no sex-desire. Well, I was wondering what the guy you emailed meant by what he said. Not what you mean. I am totally for celibacy. I, personally, don't think spiritual progress is possible without celibacy. More than th...

He's calling any kind of sex "rape", as no act of sex(among humans) is consensual. Well if we follow the logic of this statement, then we can say that nobody can consent to anything at all. No reason to single out sex right? Seems pretty ridiculous to say that two people can't willingly p...

Tomas,
Why is anything man-made an accident of nature? Do you believe there is a fundamental difference between the actions of man, and the actions of things "non-man"?

You ask a question with an obvious answer and then castigate me for returning the favour. That's hardly reasonable. I figured we were clarifying each other's positions: turns out you just wanted to get in a jab before the ref blew the starting whistle. What do you think this is? A game of tennis? I...

Re: What is the consciousness of a woman really like?
That's what I thought, but based on what wikipedia says about it, chastity at base means "ethical sex", which at the very least I take to mean consensual sex. Either way, I wonder what he means by no longer believing in rape. Did he used to prefer unethical sex, or "rape"?

Re: What is the consciousness of a woman really like?
What is this supposed to mean? That he once thought rape was the most ethical form of sex but now believes consensual sex is?A significant change in his philosophy is that he believes in chastity instead of "rape."
