Re: "Rude-boy sage" retiring the persona
Good man. It is entirely the rudeboy persona, and the multi-facetted juggling act that is the maintenance of it, that intereferes with your substance. My guidance was to dump the "rude boy." I have. The multi-faceted life I have shared here is all true. mikiel That's not what I meant. By ...

Re: The Fundamental Unity of Being
There are always other motives at work.
Apologies jehu.
I don't know about anyone else but I could certainly do with a concise step-by-step recap, including the basis for all reasonings.

Re: The Fundamental Unity of Being
Like I said, we all know you are not up to the task of a real rebuttal here. What do you mean ‘we’? You should speak for yourself. Why don’t you ask some other forum members whether they think my knowledge of QM is up to it? Ask some of the veterans who’ve seen me write on the subject here for more...

Re: The Fundamental Unity of Being
Thank you. Maybe I've missed my calling as a comedian. I must be a natural, cuz I'm not even trying. No shit. You're so pure full-on clueless that you don't realise how the subtext of your words betrays you, so very blatently. As such, daily you drive more nails into the coffin that puts the lie to...

Re: The Fundamental Unity of Being
It is my understanding that entangled quantum particles communicate and respond to the signal "switch spin direction" instantaneously without regard to distance between them. So, in principle, immediate communication at any distance is established by the particles themselves "dancing...

"Son of a whore," I can deal with a wee bit (have a drink with me, you'll understand), but "sub-standard pirate talk?". THAT offends me. Arrr, and so 't be. Thar lily-livered landlubbin pirate talk be 'bout much use as a wench wi chaastity belt. I speak perfect pirate, and I kno...

Re: Sailing the Seven Seas of Life
Many negative characterizations were seen of Mr. Levy, but I have yet to see any, personally. Is responding in a way other than expected cause for negative characterization? Where is the threat? Has he initatied threads where no discussion is possible? LOL whateverz He wasn't given much of a chance...

A-ban-Dan ship! (ooh, look, words within words). At least give us a chance before the draconian Dan stick is wielded. That's an all too easy escape for him there. I wanted to see if he was a fuckin Man United fan. That would have confirmed it. He's probably a City fan if he's actually from Mancheste...

Re: Truth v Belief
Seems to me that in order to move from not living the truth towards living the truth, a value system that facilitates such is necessary. Would that value system not require belief and faith in the efficacy of truth, at least at first?

Re: Truth v Belief
Since truth requires no belief it will only be hypothetical and thus, cannot be lived. If we have to use the word be-lie-f we will not know if it is a lie or truth. That is why every be"lie"f system has a "lie" in the middle of it You misunderstand. I referred to a belief in tru...

Is Michael Levy one of the others? You know we have our own mikiel here? He also likes to point out words within words. Makes like he's enlightened. But isn't that just a case of sufficent characteristics, whether you're talking about abstractions or particulars? Car can be sufficiently defined quite easily and my car with just a few additions. If you're talking about necessary characteristics though, the list would surely be infinite, for both ...
