I, Unidian, "Naturyl," James Quirk, am a popcorn maker.
Yes, I am making this claim, although of course not on behalf of "myself," but rather on behalf of all sentient beings. I do not exist, and yet the appearance of "me" presents itself. It is very simple to understand when the time is right. A=A= consciousness. The awareness which ...

I wouldn't want to know, I am just curious. It is a distinction between desire and conventional inquisitiveness.
If you are still falling, why?

How do you judge without having reached the highest pinnacle
Well, how do you? Without knowing that of which you attempt to speak, are you even speaking? Unless you are quite certain that you are enlightened (or enlightened with mere traces of ego residue left to extinguish), how do you judge? I am eager to initiate a discussion on this matter. Who here is en...

Diebert, right - I mentioned that "realness" is useful as pragmatic tool. And yes, in the context of conventional everyday life, functionality depends on establishing some distinctions along the lines of "real" and "not real." But ultimately (as opposed to conventionall...

That Ne Plus Ultra thing is still pretty amusing to this day. David was really chased out of there with pitchforks and torches.

90% of what you get from drugs is nonsense, in terms of "realizations" and the like. Certain substances can be decent aids in meditation, though.

For the record, some of my statements in this show are fairly stupid, but that's what happens when you're being influenced and manipulated by stupid people in your household. Happily, I no longer have that problem. Not blaming, though - it was my fault for allowing such influence.

Re: i cant understand the existence of god
"God" is a collection of any number of concepts which are ultimately not worth contemplating, as the Buddha suggested. There is nothing fruitful to be gained from endless speculation and debate over the nature of God, which is why it was omitted from original Buddhism.

Re: Seven Essential Ideas
You mean, we imagine that we imagine? But that would make it all real. Yes, I agree. Neither "illusion," nor "reality" adequately describes appearances, for if all is illusionary, than all shares equal ontological status and thus can be regarded as "real" in the pragma...

Descartes Demolished
Cogito, ergo sum - "I think, therefore I am." Descartes' famous statement, considered by some to be the foundation of modern Western philosophy. And, of course, it is full of fail. Why? Descartes assumes way too much. The errors begin with the first word, "I." This is the indivi...

Seven Essential Ideas
1. There is no self. (therefore) 2. There is no free will. (therefore) 3. There are no others. (therefore) 4. No one is experiencing anything. (therefore) 5. There are no objects of consciousness. (therefore) 6. There is no division of awareness. (therefore) 7. Nothing exists, except we imagine it.

Re: News: I Quit Marijuana!
These things aren't called addictions for nothing. Blair actually makes some good points here. After a certain number of years, your brain structure changes physically to the point that it will demand the addictive substance by any means necessary. Pot isn't very physically addictive, but psychologi...

Well I'm glad you're enjoying it, oh He who sails in "sees" of the Infinite, but could you explain to the rest of us useless beings exactly why I sound so stupid? And please provide arguments, rather than responses along the lines of "because you are a shitweasel."

Re: Help !!
Kunga, We are truly sick of arguing with you as well. You have done fantastic things for both of us, and we have expressed our appreciation repeatedly. But that's all in the distant past now. These days, you just keep attacking us and frankly, we don't understand why. What's wrong with you? Really. ...

Now, the next question is, has David Quinn quit smoking the left-handed luckies, or is he still hanging out with Dad and rolling up blunts? Not judging, just curious why an enlightened Buddha would be getting baked.
Re: Help !!
Who the hell is "Dennis Mahar," anyway? He appears to be some insignificant chickenshit who always seems to have a lot of negative things to say about me and/or KIR, but never on my board where he knows I'd stomp him. LOL. And I see India's "apology" lasted about as long as I fig...

No, we do not "require" an apology, but we do appreciate one. Being trashed in that manner is tiresome. And she did, as others pointed out, totally miss the point of the OP at KIR. Having said that, we are skeptical of Kunga's ability to refrain from ugly behavior. The evidence suggests on...

No sir, Mr. Quinn, KIR is not "spiritually dead." On the contrary, it is your outpatient ashram here which merits that description. A collection of assorted persons united primarily by the presence of one or more diagnosable personality disorders does not constitute "spiritual life.&q...
