Re: Where are You? How did you get there?
this sounds like a 'one time when i was on mushrooms' kind of story. that being said, i've never experience anything of the sort. i haven't seen or experienced any proof of the existence of god or a god-like existence. why must we attribute internal bliss to an external thing?

Re: Consensual sex:
based on your logic, why would we maintain existence? why not admit defeat to death and save the energy and effort? humans work on the pursuit of pleasure and happiness. sex fulfills this. why wouldn't it be rational? if we were to talk about what is rational, we'd start an endless debate because th...

Re: Oh why, why, why?!?!??!!!
ah the notorious 'why am i me' question. it cannot be answered because meaning in life is necessary for it to be answered. why are we human? why are we aware of our existence? man has created god in such a way that god has created man. clearly, here the 'egg' came before the 'chicken', even though t...

can you kill a rabbit without pursuing it?
happiness hides in the darkness that is ignorance, must we shed light on this darkness?

Re: Can one study too much?
as for truth being a thing to be pursued, i feel true happiness can only be achieved in true ignorance. the truth is there is no purpose for the human race. the truth is when we die, nothing happens. we are gone. quite depressing truths. similar to a cheating spouse scenario. better to not know (in ...

Re: Can one study too much?
Do you think I can't obey the standards? I choose not to write like this, but I can. It proves nothing. Absolutely nothing. So I hit 'shift' where appropriate, you understand what I'm saying the same whether use proper punctuation and such or if I type as I normally do. It does not convey intelligen...

Re: Can one study too much?
i believe relationships are a necessity for happiness. we cannot truly feel happy until we identify ourselves, until we see ourselves in someone else. love is the truest form of happiness. very few things, if any, compare to the importance of love in a life.

the questions you need to ask yourself a: would you rather read about past geniuses and innovators, or be one yourself? would you rather read of love, or be in love? would you rather know of all about past philosophers, physicists, mathematicians, and so forth, or would you rather know all about you...

Re: Can one study too much?
before you jump to conclusions, i would find it to be quite hypocritical of my statement of freedom from education if i were to abide by the standard grammar rules. i type, and you understand; regardless of capitalization techniques. i am not devoid of education, i just feel its importance to be exa...

Re: Can one study too much?
my iq and marks in school do not correlate. i am not interested in the subject matter in school, and get distracted too easily when trying to retain this information. i see studying and prosaic tasks as being a waste of time. i'd rather be happy in a medium-paying job than to be miserable in a high-...

Re: The Fallacy Of Genius
thought i'd put my little tid bit in here, 3 months in between posts. a true genius understands that the pursuit of knowledge is useless if it does not coincide with the pursuit of happiness. we must understand meaning does not exist in our existence, and happiness is all that we should seek. in my ...

Re: the unending pursuit
4600 posts later, have you achieved the ultimate truth-- enlightenment? i believe not, or you wouldn't be wasting your time at a computer, or debating the idea of the infinite.
a man who understands the infinite is infinite.

Re: the unending pursuit
clone of the times? a lot of the unique ideas i have come up with have been 'rejected' or contradicted that of common philosophy. the idea of seeking and achieving the infinite is sheep-worthy, i do not wish to fall into this category. we are all followers of something, we all wish to be accepted by...

the unending pursuit
i have greatly reduced my posting frequency on the forums as i have realized, well, have confirmed my inclination. in our pursuit of the ultimate truth, we miss out on the ultimate purpose. thought is inevitable, but thought as our only state is debilitating. the further we search, the further we ar...

Re: I have Realized the Infinite
isn't something that is realized--that is understood--simply finite. the infinite is the unfathomable, once we have fathomed, it is merely finite like all other things we know. with this, we can never truly understand that which is infinite. if nature is infinite, nature is ever-mysterious.

ever sit there and think the rest of your body as being foreign. the only true thing of you is your mind (your head), all else is merely attached. when i do this, i don't consider the rest of my body as 'me' but just joined to 'me'.

i haven't played chess in a while. learned when i was 8, won my first game, but the guy who taught me wasn't very experienced. kind of fell out of chess when i was 12, nobody to really play at my level.
