Re: Cognitive-Theoretic Model of the Universe
Gosh Dan, you don't actually read my posts do you? Now while, I can't say I don't care about your judgement, you being Saint Peter at the Pearly Gates of Ultimate Truth and all, but I still say you can go jump. I'll work out reality my own way. I just write whatever comes into my head, so my posts a...

Re: Cognitive-Theoretic Model of the Universe
I have not reread this theory, but my view is that he developed this theory from starting parameters generalised from the Christian myths, that they were the end result he wanted and he developed the theory to fit into that. He believes that the universe via structured feedback (intelligent design) ...

Re: "never knowing" vs. "not knowing"
I wrote this a couple of days ago. Can't recall what spawned it. Don't know where to plonk it, so here will do. In all of us there is The Watcher, the cognitive self, and there is also the Feelings Self. The Watcher is like computer program, it is a structured linear process. This is the ego. It is ...

Re: The Nature of Evil
Absolute non-existence/Inherent non-existence is impossible, even to conceive, because if you imagine a nothingness, that too is a form in your head. But the real reason is not whatever we imagine makes it exist, as in gives it form, but that nothingness cannot be caused in the first place. Causali...

Re: Dualism and non-dualism:
If all things are said to be the same as each other, then there must be a certain quality that must make them all the same. But if we are talking about everything, then no such quality can be found, because such a quality must be something apart from everything Why do you suppose this? I see no rea...

Re: Intuition and the Wordless Nerve
[Space and time are intimately bound up, but they are not the same in the same way that left and right is not the same as up and down] Physically, as in terms of what underlies them, then left and right are the same as up and down, though obviously by normal definition they are not. eg. If I had a s...

[the earth is by far mostly empty space...] Nope. It is all empty space, as it is space. ... and the other name for space, its causal name, instead of its effect name, is Time. What makes space seem to not be empty is that space-time twists and overlaps, but it is actually empty of any other thing. ...

Re: Intuition and the Wordless Nerve
I've not seen anything that can’t be looked at from two equally valid and complimentary opposing perspectives. Did you mean to express this so adamantly? What is the perspective that makes a square circle possible, for example? Well, if one looks at a square from a sufficiently great distance, then...

Dan But not your coherence. Yes, I always regret having a disordered mind when it leads to bitchiness as contained in my above post. When having been unnecessarily nasty, as in "what is going to be achieved by it", I do feel rather insane. Incoherence, well yes. I'm always in two minds abo...

Re: Cupid | a single element in a Greek Tragedy involving Ap
I see studying Greek tragedies to be a bit like playing chess, or playing science or playing academic philosophy. Ie it’s just another game of puzzles that we humans like. Sure Nietzsche’s words call for us to study the ancient Greek mindset, but it doesn’t appeal to me. My view is always – just fuc...

The pieces/parts analysis of time goes like this: Any instance of time has duration. We may speak of the age of the universe or the time it takes for light to traverse the diameter of a proton-each segment of time has a duration such that its beginning is not simultaneous with its end. You need to ...

Re: Is the Sun on the inside or outside of the Earth?
They reckon that light takes around 200,000 years to reach the surface of the sun, from where it is generated in the core by fussion, and around 8 minutes to get to the earth...and they can tell what elements the light passed by/through by the structure of that light, depending on where the gaps are...

Liberty Sea Sadly, there was not enough bullshit in your post to induce the urge to disagree. Those are the sorts of truths one learns while climbing up the mountain. I don’t practice these things, so after X years of knowing them (at least in a superficial sense) they no longer have much importance...

What does the phrase "the logic to existence" mean? I have no idea. My view on this is that it involves always true observations such as the path of least resistance, which is the most fundamental observable CAUSE of change, or cause of causality for that matter. For the path of least exi...

That was a load of rubbish Jamesh I don’t think so, well except the end bit about bohemianism. In any case only a person with an attachment to their self would make such a comment. Ego is a designation one has for oneself. A story one has of oneself. A belief. It's out of causes/conditions. That's ...

Re: Intuition and the Wordless Nerve
Utilising the concept of emptiness can be beneficial. Its aim of course is to reduce the potency of our natural propensity to feed our ego, which often leads to the detriment of others. It is just a basic tool to aid a change in the egos structure from one centred around Me Me Me to a broader one en...

They are both inside the relativity of Time, and their existence or time circles overlap, so they are both partially inside and outside of each other. Mind you the universe may not actually have any dimensional space. Space might be a reality only applying to observers (life) who have evolved the to...
