You are merely speculating as to why people voted for him, and I don't believe you have any idea why people voted for him. Your posting behaviour has become deeply dishonest. I didn't say a si...

Re: Trumpism

Seriously, Trump is just too funny for words:

13 June 2016
Saudi Arabia and many of the countries that gave vast amounts of money to the Clinton Foundation want women as slaves and to kill gays. Hillary must return all money from such countries!

Will this or that government soon blow up the world, or ruin the economy, or be ruled by a shadow g...

Re: Trumpism

I think we should keep in perspective how many people actually voted, actively, for Trump. He got 19.5% of the popular vote. 58.5% of people didn't vote for anyone (many due to ineligibility). If we take say, 9% points off Trump's figure to account for GOP voters who would have voted for the GOP no ...

True enough. When criminals don't provide their side of the story there's no real story. Go run Interpol on that basis.

Re: Trumpism

I remember when we used to laugh at the idiotic women and flaky new age charlatans who came on here spouting similar kinds of views. Where have those days gone, I wonder? Where is the determination to strictly associate genius with intelligence, wisdom, coherent thought, ethical awareness, etc? It ...

This is a pretty interesting conversation between Sam Harris and David Frum. It's from February. It'd be interesting to hear a updated version.

Re: Trumpism

Yes, I'm jealous of a man who went to give a speech to CG cadets and made it all about himself. Trump's 'success' has largely come on the back of con-artistry, corruption, cynical and unethical manipulation of the system, money laundering, fraud etc etc etc. Do you know he's been sued more than 3500...

So why do you consider the expression of anything less than outright *hatred* for Trump irrational? Ask me a question that isn't a strawman and I'll respond. If I misrepresented your position, then it follows that you *don't* believe that anything less than outright hatred for Trump is irrational. ...

Is anybody finding this entertaining? It's about the only reason I can think of for allowing it to continue. It's going to stop, one of the 500 moderators here for sure could do it... Perhaps we could draw straws? Btw, you do know who this guy is, right? Actually, maybe you might not. It's been qui...

Re: Scientific certainty (was "The Truth of Enlightenment")

The problem here is that you're unable to differentiate between an assertion and an argument. An actual debate involves argument.

Re: Examining The Wisdom of the Infinite

Firstly, your main statement is a lie. Secondly, every level of development of the human eye that is postulated by evolutionary science can be seen in extant animal phyla.

Evolutionary science does not state, as a truth, that we know how the eye evolved.
