Re: Why enlightenment?
About cartoons, I was thinking last week about the difference between the Simpsons and Southpark as humor. I discovered that The Simpsons while on the surface less rude and more 'family' oriented has a way more sick and disturbing underlying message. Southpark has a nihilist, amoral and rude level ...

Re: Holocaust denial and dissent - the difference.
Yes, I could hardly believe it when I heard it, Im still not convinced they locked someone up for merely expressing their unpopular view, and in a supposedly civilized country! You notice how easily a large group, whether Jew or Black or whatever, can target almost any person and destroy them, nowad...

Yes, you can be sure they will find a way to make her look more spiritual from all this, i agree D. We can see now what it was (not the holy spirit!) that pushed her along in her infinite compassion for the needy, the fan- fare and exposure, the celebrity, it all played a part, while the impression ...

What? The Universe has a beat? Please tell me it's not hip hop. Dan, you seem determined to excel at comedy as of late, nothing against it in principle, but arent you a moderator of a forum like no other forum attempting to lead the human race to greatness? Used to be you actually contributed somet...

Questioning assumptions about your world. Re-examining that which you've taken to be true, consider what truth may be like if what seems true is actually false. Being determined and ruthless, giving the work first priority, becoming disgusted with life and intolerant of ignorance, freeing your ego t...

Re: Questions about Enlightenment, comments about Sex
Its not so much the "act" or action that can be said to be of ego, but the mind or consciousness. Ego-lessness is a perfectly pure condition that automatically results in wise ego-free behavior, whatever action may result. Specific acts cannot be filed under the categories ego/egoless. Onl...

Yeah, I reckon evolving sexual appreciation looks more like expansion than anything else, porn opens up the way to new sexual possibilities which amend the old tastes and not often replace them. Id be very impressed to learn some guy, nuts his whole life for tenage girls, is no longer hardened by th...

Re: Questions about Enlightenment, comments about Sex
I cant think of many things more obstructive than porn when it comes to a man's spirituality, Jesus' statement about chopping off ones hand if it would cause you to sin was no joke really, he said it to drive home the point that some things will require great measures to overcome. Though women in ou...

I suppose a few odd nuts, if part of a forced experiment in which their entire lives were lived in some sort of inferior virtual reality, might be inclined to hold tight to that dreadful dreamworld even while the hope of Reality presents itself, but not this pistachio.

Re: Questions about Enlightenment, comments about Sex
The fact of the matter is that men who learn what it means to lead a woman learn what it means to take responsibility for themselves. As this skill develops it covers many areas of their existence. The more they don't try to impress women the better they do with them, the less manipulated they beco...

Neither was I saying modern women are saddled with more blame for failed seductions because of greater consciousness. I'm well aware women's minds are not ...

The sage is emotionally indifferent to the result. Its like you hoping your neighbors kid recovers from cancer, but whether she does or does not will not move you emotionally. You're not invested in the outcome. The sage doesnt even care if his life is over in the next heartbeat, death has no hold o...
