Tao's Reflection - what a great name that is. It is a name that applies to all the things that a consciousness can name as "existing", while all the time these "named things" are just reflections of an infinite reality.
Thanks Jamesh!

Don't get hung up on those geometric or verbal, or number sequences. ...I know, but I can't help but feel a little inadequate sometimes, and it depresses my mind when I've really given the question all I can and I still don't have a clue. I also tend to extrapolate that inadequecy into other reason...

It's the ability and courage to say the truth despite societies' and one's own lies. So it's not just stamina, it's a willingness to pay the price of truth. See, oftentimes the powerful in the world are lying to maintain a certain state of things. You must bust it up. I know you speak the truth. I ...

So, I'm coming to the conclusion that a genius see's what average people see but integrates the information further than the average person and hence can have more conclusions, actions, consequences, etc. Would that just be more mental stamina?

It entirely depends on what goal Sidis applies his thoughts toward. If he spends his time calculating chess moves or programming computers, he is no closer to understanding reality and destroying delusion than anyone else. Oh I agree completely. I was just trying to seperate their intellect though ...

Tao, don't listen to cory. Genius is telling the truth, even when others try to convince you that lies are the truth. Yes. This is something I've always known to be true. The smarter people are the more truthful they are with themselves and their thoughts. This has helped me immensely in my life. A...

Cory: I see what you're talking about now cory. Your message is basically the premise behind my name. Although I must admit it's hard to see that we don't exist, even as a wave in the greater ocean. The wave certainly IS part of the ocean, but like snowflakes each wave is inherently unique because o...

I guess what I'm really asking is: "what do exceptional geniuses 'see' that average geniuses don't 'see', what do geniuses 'see' that non-genuises don't 'see'".

This is what I really want to know.

do you understand that you do not inherently exist? I understand that when people refer to themselves they are speaking of the mind (the mind equating to body, soul, "heart"). So, are you saying the mind does not exist? And do you understand that cause and effect is an illusion? No. But I...

What is non-genius? What is genius? What is exceptional?

I may or may not be a genius. If I am then I'm the lowest of geniuses. So, for sake of arguement lets put me in the void between genius and above average. Now, what I want to know is what am I working toward? I see a distinct pattern of a person's growing and ever expanding conscience from the avera...

I follow the concept of causality "stringing" on forever with no [real] beginning or end. But the birth of the Universe is something real that physicists have proven. This came from my impression that David thought the Universe had no beginning, which he doesn't, we just got the definitio...

Is causality not real because it has no beginning? What? Where did I say that?? I'm saying causality is real and that it extends infinitely further from the start of our Universe (and by Universe I mean the product of the Big Bang, NOT the Totality) What do you mean by "no real beginning or en...

Finally, by "Universe" do you mean the tiny space-time bubble that we all live in, which is supposed to have been created 15 billion years ago, or are you refering to the greater Reality, the totality of all there is? The former definitely has a beginning - just as an ordinary gas explosi...

There are many other similar examples. Big Bang cosmology was created out of the fiction that the Universe (i.e. utterly everything) had a beginning. Not quite sure what you mean here? I follow the concept of causality "stringing" on forever with no real beginning or end. But the birth of...

David Quinn's Website

Hello, I'd just like to use this post to thank David for a very good read. I've thought a lot about the nature of women, causality, and reality as a whole before, although I feel compelled to say I've never heard anyone speak of such topics with the clarity and depth that David has. You have truely ...
