Re: Barack Obama, next president of the U.S.?

You're right, there are millions of racist people in the US. But they all have voted for Obama.

Re: The Absolute TV: 3 Questions for Atheists

Yeah, Kevin hasn’t even posted to this topic. For me, aristocracy is not “economically defined as the privileged class holding hereditary title”. I first and foremost define aristocracy in the original (spiritual or philosophical or platonic) sense of the word, i.e. the rule of the best. If you like...

Re: The Absolute TV: 3 Questions for Atheists

Well, just wanted to give an example. Might not be the best one, though, as it implies politics. Obviously, though, you had something in mind. Even you seem to think there's a relationship between God/religion and politics. You don't think we could examine that something if you fleshed it out a lit...

Re: The Absolute TV: 3 Questions for Atheists

Let me add a foot-note here (nothing against you, just to make it clear): most atheists are mere anti-theists. They fear nothing more than the concept of God, so they build up a world of illusion and put illustrious names on it (agnosticism etc.). The worst one is materialist atheism, which tries t...

The Absolute TV: 3 Questions for Atheists

Hello, I thought I’d take up the “challenge” of answering those 3 questions you phrased in one of the latest videos of ‘Absolute TV’. I do not regard myself as an atheist, though. (If I have to say something in this context, I define myself as an autotheist. I’ll elaborate that later.) But I think y...

Re: Holocaust denial and dissent - the difference.

The thing is that the holocaust (understood as "Jewish holocaust") is a special case. It is like a massive, world-wide business, just to pump enormous material, financial "compensations" out of the countries labelled "guilty" etc. Of course, "sed audiatur et altera...

Least I forget, about the weird echo: it happens usually when one of the participants has the speakers too close to the mike, or the speakers are simply too loud - i.e. the voice of the other participants from the speakers goes through the mike again and again.

Hello, it was quite a surprise to see you round here again. If I remember well, you left because of this same thing you all discussed in the R. Show as well. And don't get me wrong, I understood your point from the show. What I say is that mathematics abuses the word. What mathematicians speak of is...

The Nature of Knowledge

Sorry to interrupt with this post, I haven’t been around lately. I’ve listened to the first show, The Nature of Knowledge, so far. As long as a not-so-regular reader like me can conclude, it pretty much summarises everything that the Genius Mailing List /Genius Forum was/is on about throughout the y...

Hello, There are significant problems with the teachings of Jesus themselves, when viewed as a whole. For example, I don't like the way that Jesus constantly drew attention to himself, even going so far as to stress that no one could come to know God or enter the kingdom of heaven except through him...

Who is this "Miklos Nagy"? (That is, Nagy Miklós.) Is this text only a translation? Just wondering, because a Hungarian original would explain the 'strange' composition such as the mixture of the English "conscience", "conscious" and "awareness". The writing ...

Let me recommend this gem from 1984, Poland: Seksmisja —that is Sexmission . (Don't worry, you can find it on DVD, not like the Inheritence .) It's about two scie...

That's rhetorical. I, too, think we are getting nowhere.
Yeah, the core of the problems: Woman. :)

We definitely got somewhere. Let's just leave it at that for now. Bye!

I'm sorry, Leyla, "my dear", but I'm too tired to play these games. You should do a little bit of background reading on QSR's definitions. As it is their forum, I mostly use their expressions in my posts to avoid lengthy definitions -- i.e. philosophy, appearance, truth, understanding etc.

Read them over again, then. If I had written "earth", that would have been a contradiction with my statement that I don't find "extraterrestrial life" philosophically valuable. (With writing only "earth" I would suggest that I believe in "non-earth", i.e. &quo...

Bad Boy Bubby It's an Australian "independent" film. I watched it about six years ago on TV, knowing absolutely nothing about the plot. I recommend you watch it without a peek into the plot summary on IMDB. Really worth watching, trust me. Not a silly horror, not a so-called "alterna...

A Jew visits the wise rabbi.
"Wise rabbi, please tell me, how can I live for long?"
"Well, son, that's simple. Don't smoke, don't drink, don't womanize."
"And then I can live long?"
"No, but it will seem to be f***ing long!"

In fact, this dispute of ours well demonstrate that being a human is a limitation of understanding truth. I do state the obvious. It seems for me, at least, that – strangely – the more obvious a thing is, the more difficult to recognise and get to know it. Defining 'human' as a state of being not ju...

Nope, truth cannot be a human construct, since that would mean that there is no truth but individual truths, which is a contradiction in terms. In reality, one cannot monopolise a true idea as one's own, because it becomes a mere fantasy, losing all its scope and genuine being. (For instance, libera...
