Time is simply another dimension (we can call it the 4th dimension).
The same way we can visualize flatland as if we were looking at 2D blueprints, likewise a higher dimensional being may view time as if he were looking at a multi-faceted time-line.
Perhaps?

Re: The idea of demensions proves Descartes wrong.
Certainly the flatlander would view all the abilities of a being in the 3rd dimension as having God-like attributes: Omniscience: The 3D being would know all there is to know about flatland. Omnipresent: The 3D being would be able to easily see everywhere in flatland. Omnipotents: The 3D being would...

Re: The idea of demensions proves Descartes wrong.
I think a marriage of this concept along with the quantum jumps of a particle in quantum physics is an idea worth looking at. What I mean is when you look at the subcellular level, matter itself actually looks and behaves (in the words of one physicist) "more like a thought" than anything ...

Re: The most rational social system.
Let's take a step back and view this subject on more fundamental terms. Meaning if we want to be enlightened to the true nature of reality, then look at nature itself. What "system" does nature use? Why? I would argue that nature is socialist. We are after-all social organisms--social at a...

Re: The Paradox Of Nothingness And The Case For The New Deism
Eternal universe means that the universe has always existed regardless of its dynamic form......and every other viewpoint will suffer a logical fallacy. We use science and reason to know reality, so whatever we know or will eventually know about reality will be down to our use of science and reason...

Re: Suggestion List
First, I've "enjoyed" all the "suggestions" that have been and are being made in this topic so conveniently called "Suggestion List". Make of that what you will. Now I would like to make a suggestion of my own. How about doing a podcast featuring Terence Witt? If you do...
