Re: Heath Ledger Dead!!
Yeah, I don't think this one is quite at the level of Elvis or anything, but that guy was huge, very young as well. I think his first big movie was the Patriot, and I hated the flick, but that's when he got famous. You'd think they would pick someone without an Aussie accent to play an American revo...

Re: Investments
snow bunny , I was actually also happy on 911, just because I was so bitter in college.. Plus, we got out of class early, so it was a win, win. That's pretty cold. I hope you realize now that such thinking is not reflective of any genuine understanding or courage of character, but simply immaturity...

Re: Investments
I feel you on that one, and up until recently I would have agreed with everything you say.. Then I found out that my parents and grandparents have stuff in the markets that will come to me in the future. I still don't have any of it myself, so half of me roots for the big collapse, but then I feel l...

I was shocked when I read the news, so that's why I posted the article. He's supposedly one of the young heartthrobs out there. In my book, that is one of the most major celeb-deaths I have read about in a while, and he is from Australia too, so I thought that it would fit right in here at Genius.

Re: More humour, perhaps.
Take this classic example from Kevin Solway... "I had a girlfriend at the age of ten, and within twelve months I felt that I had exhausted the possibilites of relationships with women." Did Kevin happen to mention how old he was at the time...? I don't know if you are referring to my Loli...

Aussie Open
Wow, this is astonishingly disappointing!! I guess the people here not only have problems with women, but they have problems with athletics as well. I don't know if they are living near Melbourne, but that is like the biggest sporting event of the year over there in Australia. I'm even into it, and ...

Re: Where, is your God?
And the first chicken was born from an egg.. Now you are one step closer to the reason I believe there has to be something that we would call, "God." The next question is, where did that ancestor of the first chicken come from?

Have you just been cut and pasting your posts, because I know I have been tricked like that before? People will copy something from somewhere, and then I will start chatting with them because I didn't catch on to what they were doing right away..slightly altered to fit the context of my posts.

Re: Where, is your God?
If by duality you mean two concepts that contradict each other, but are also logical, then I'll go for it. I use a very simple version of things to envision the world, and that's why I have to believe in God (choose any word is fine). It's as simple as what came first, the chicken or the egg? It's a...

Re: The logic of state funded self indulgence.
Don't be a baby, Tomas-the tank. I already told you my goal is to live for a long time, so I probably don't eat that many twinkies, since commonsense tells you they aren't very healthy. I sure hope I don't die poor, but I'm only 20-something, so I will probably outlive you on that score, so you can'...

I figured out who Ron Paul is, since he got about 6% in Michigan, so I've got it all figured out now. I don't know if he likes eastern religions, but I suppose that not many Reps. do! Go Christianity!!

Re: The logic of state funded self indulgence.
That would be taking all the joy out of life, Bill, so you are correct that we shouldn't be that rigid in our daily lives. I don't know about your ideas to start a charity or run a marathon, because that seems to be just an off-hand suggestion about something that has been done over and over again, ...
Re: Deep
He tripped and fell in front of a train, and that was it. No Playing on the train tracks was, ironically, a recurring theme in some of his children's books.
Still, he was a deep dude, who lives on through his work, children and adults.

Maybe it's the warm weather you're all having in Arizona and Australia. It was 12 degrees Fahrenheit outside my Arizona door this a.m. Wow! I thought that's where they had spring training for baseball. You sure you're not yankin' my chain? It takes a little oppression from the cold weather to help ...

Re: Common ground
Aren't you all just babbling on about some book (text book) that didn't get published? Hey, just move on with your lives, and come up with something new to talk about. An old Pulp Fiction adage, "That's pride fuckin' with you." If you're too obstinate to let go of certain things, then you'...

Re: Where, is your God?
I am familiar with the concept A=A is God. It is simple, just as it appears. I, personally, agree with it. I can't fathom an origin without God, so I accept that much as given, but I don't really live my life being concerned with God. If there is another explanation, then that is okay with me. I am ...

English is the only common language. It's nothing special, but it's the best we've come up with to date.

That sounds like you are saying, "Are you feeling lucky, punk?" like you think you're Clint Eastwood or something!! No, I definitely don't want to be like Bill Gates. I think he's a tool!! I don't know how I'm going to make my millions, but I'll probably just put a bunch of golden monopoly...
